Replaced OEM on 2WD VXL Slash - huge upgrade!!
I've been racing my 2WD VXL slash on 2S for a while at an indoor dirt/clay track. The stock required I change shock oil to about a 50wt. That helped but ride height was tricky and racing on a track was hard. I upgraded to some oversize Amazon shocks - much stiffer with heavier springs. I used 50/40 wt shock oil and that was better but did not have any movement of the shocks except huge jumps. It would chatter in high speed bumps on a corner as the suspension wasn't dialed in right. I didn't need sway bars as the shocks and springs were so hard. These are like the bears and oatmeal. First too soft, second too hard, these - just right! It is a dual spring per shock (think dual rate). The small black spring is very soft and once it compresses fully, the white spring compression starts. This makes the chatter bumps almost a non-issue as the shock oil weight is 45/40, the compression is better. I am looking at other spring rates and oils to really dial it in, at least I found a shock I feel I can do that with. Granted - not cheap, but you are getting what you pay for. BTW - these come empty so you have to add your own shock oil.

Love them
Work great just really expensive and don't come with mounting hardware..and springs are lil soft but work amazing

High Quality
I’ve never upgraded the suspension in a Rc car but from stock I’ll never switch back no complaints other than if you have a new slash the original bolts won’t work and they don’t come with the bolts you need but the bottom do work just top 4 bolts

Great shocks!
I am not a professional racer so on a performance level I cannot tell whether or not they are better. However they look cool and the ability to adjust them quickly is pretty sweet. A little on the higher end for an RC add on but definitely durable I have put them to the test. One more thing to remember is they are not filled when you get them. Luckily I checked but didn't know they come not filled. (55-60wt is common for these)

Nice
Super nice shocks just you tend to break the plastic bottoms

Perfect shock for the price
Son has a traxxas. Not a fan of the big bore shocks.Local hobby shop recommended these even though they don't carry them.Others were like they stink etc. Basically if doesn't say Losi, what you buy is junk. Not true.Son who is 8 and races his Traxxas Slash Ultimate uses these on the front with 45 weight oil and they are great.Handles better and seems sturdier with the two spring setup of the shock. Now that he has the low center of gravity chassis on the slash he can keep up with some of the mid range racers on the indoor carpet tracks. These springs are adjusted using a thread whereas others use spacers. I bought a micrometer to measure each spring so they matched up.Now all I have to do is buy these for the rears.EXCELLENT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE.Side note: They have holes in the bottom of the shock base. This is great because in the past I screwed holes in them. Why? because those pieces typically fly off when bashing or racing. A twisty tie going through the pre-drilled holes will prevent you from losing them. These shocks are worth the price.

Awesome shocks
I put these on my Axial EXO Terra Buggy, and they really improved the handling over stock. I have also got a set for my 2wd Traxxas slash. I highly recommend these as they look awesome, and perform much better than regular shocks with a single spring.

Huh?! No BALL ends? Cmon
These don't come with anything for inside the shock cap ring, a grommet or metal ball end, Impossible to install properly without something that fits in the upper shock cap to secure to shock mount..
