might be the best gaming headset/headphones i tried
here is some of the headset/headphones i triedHD700/HD599/ATH700/Game Zero/Game One/ Steelseries arctis prime/ Epos H6 Pro/ Epos H3 hybirdto me this is better than all of them for gaming, why? they sound like they got a native 7.1 on, the best balanced soundstage i heard, everything is accurate, it sound like you have a home theater in your head, if you never had a home theater , just go watch a movie in cinema, yup they sound as close as the sound system theremost headphones are either sound good for FPS or good for Single player games, this headset is amazing for both, i would say the hyperx earbuds and Steelseries arctis prime and ATH700 are the best for FPS games but are bad for anything other than that, this one is as good for FPS and amazing for everything elseif you want a fun sounding headset, get this one, they are also comfortable, i would give the comfort 8.5/10the only issue is that the cable rubbing on your shoulder is making annoying sound, but its not an issue while gaming

Comfy & good sound quality
I previously used the GSP 302s for over 3 years, and I couldve used them longer but my cat chewed up the cord. I researched other headsets extensively but I couldn't find any that had the same aesthetic and were lift to mute. So, I decided to get the new and improved version of my old headset. The ear cushions are really comfortable and I enjoy that the head cushion spans the entire circumference for maximum support.I did have the same issue as some of the other reviewers wherein I had to really shove the jack into the headset for it to connect fully, as the directional audio wasn't working at first. Besides that, it's been smooth sailing.

Electronic P.o.S.
EPOS = electronic PoS.Comfortable ear cups, sounds good. Adjustable pressure & fit headband. I like the large volume dial on the cup and the solid piece mic boom- not flexible wire junk.Unfortunately The braided fabric cable jacket induces unacceptable noise as it rubs against clothing.PROBLEM: After 16mths of ownership, the mute no longer works. Verified same condition on multiple devices.Headset was never dropped, abused, or misused. The customer service procedure is designed to deter contact. I got No Response by email from the manufacturer. It's pretty much GFY.UPDATE: never heard from customer support. Now, randomly, 1 ear-cup cushion is splitting apart exposing the inner foam. Clearly the material was glued together with a very micro seam. For this this much money, a total PoS.

Mic quality is garbage
I previously owned an older GSP 600 headset that I absolutely loved for its quality. Unfortunately, it got damaged from a few falls and was literally falling apart by the time I had to replace it. I tried replacing it with a Corsair HS80 wireless headset, which had great reviews, but I've never been happy with it. Finally decided to replace the Corsair and go back to Sennheiser, so I bought this GSP 601 last week. I'm sad to say that its audio quality, namely the microphone, is awful. The headphone quality isn't bad, but it is a bit lower quality than my original GSP 600. The microphone on my old GSP 600 was great, though. This microphone on the new GSP 601 sounds worse than the mics from my friends who join Discord calls on their PHONES. There is no excuse for this. Sennheiser is supposed to be a brand of quality. Now I have a dedicated desk mic coming in the mail, which I've never felt the need to buy before, because nobody can stand this godawful mic on my headset.Sennheiser...do better.

Great sound, great interface, great quality, considering it's 3.5mm
I love how this headset works. There are no attachments on the cable because the volume control is handled by turning one of the earpieces, and the mic is turned off by simply lifting it.It feels and sounds great as well. While I still prefer a USB interface, since that tends to deliver better sound overall IMO, and has fewer issues, there's a lot to be said for the universality of 3.5 mm audio.

Padding will break, mic might also
Generally great sound, good comfort if not a little bulky. The ear padding came apart (glue not stitched) after two years. They sent me a replacement set that feels a lot more sturdy. But after three years I am sad to report the mic has begun to short when pushed too far to the left of my head. This is separate from the auto off function when you flip it up. Also the plug in spot can be super finicky causing me to push hard and rotate in the input to get it to receive signal.Update: after 2 years the mic has stopped working from general use.
