The little incubator that could…maintain temperature. But [see title]. Also imperative for successfully hatching chicks is turning at a certain rate and for a certain duration; and humidity control at two different levels during the 21 days. This miniature incubator can only keep the eggs pointy side down, there’s no ability to turn them (even manually). The instructions are surprisingly good, but the device itself doesn’t allow you to do what is needed.I gave 1 star to try and deter people who actually want to get baby chicks from fertilized eggs, from buying it. Wish someone had posted a review like this.Takeaway: read forums BEFORE choosing an incubator. I thought i could cheap out with this product and learn what to do during the 21 days.

This was egg-cellent for what I needed haha my baby dove is growing and about to hatch 🐣 just make sure not to overfill with water

Literally just a little while ago I tried to get it to work but it leaks. Buyer beware!

I loved the idea of this little house incubator. But it doesnt keep warm and takes forever to hit the desired temperature. Additionally, it is tedious getting the water in a small section of the incubator for humidity without spilling in the vents or temp thermometer. You have to use a dropper or something small. this would be a great idea and item if it kept the temperature up and worked. none of my eggs hatched because the temperature did not surpass 90 F. I suggest investing in something better or attempting old school incubators with light bulbs in a box.

I was skeptical for reasons, but it arrived after two weeks, holds four large chicken eggs, and is holding temperature. My only gripe so far is that the water reservoir is tiny. Two weeks to go. I intend to update this review pending hatch rate results & possibly after candling.***Edit after first hatch*** It works! We had two viable eggs after starting with four & had some capacity concerns, but this thing holds its temperature well. Speaking of wells, if this thing had an external water well added on it would fix my only issue: the tiny internal water trough. A small indoor watering can and a steady hand helped to not douse the eggs or run water over the fan motor, but as many times as I did the latter, this incubator kept on keeping on. One tip: wrap the power cord around something sturdy once as we had a tragedy when the cord got caught by a door and dumped a full incubator to the floor. But a testament to the unit’s durability, it took a tumble and a few cumulative pints of water to the fan and has run like a champ non-stop since purchase.

I bought this incubator and let it run for 24hr after that I put my egg/thermometer in. Lucky I was home because about 12 days in I was checking it and realized all the water leaked out and I smelled burnt plastic and saw smoke I immediately unplugged it. Please just get something else this thing is a serious hazard!

It came vey perfect size for my our home. We not using yet because of no eggs yet for now.

Doesn't work. I added the water and plugged it in and the next thing I know I smell something burning.
