The Amazing Price is Compensation for Parents
When my seven year old daughter described this doll and asked me to "search it up" on the internet, (after seeing it a neighbor's), I expected to be paying an arm and a leg for this technological wonder. I was pleasantly surprised (albeit confused)by the price until Barbie and her cosmic kitty arrived at our home...If you want your child to enjoy hours and hours of imaginative space travel with an otherwise average fashion doll and her feline friend - this is the doll for you! I will not take that away from this toy; it is clever - the kitty does indeed fly and is cute and sturdy. When not flying her cat, Barbie has gone imaginary fly fishing using the cat pole in our (dry) sink, and integrated nicely with our other toys - so she's not completely useless without her pet. However, for some reason, my child can't get enough of that flying cat.l (the true selling point of the product).Downside: it sounds like there is a drone constantly hovering in my house. And not some expensive, fancy, small drone; this is a loud, bulky, cheap drone you buy at a corner drugstore as a last minute Christmas gift. I'm an extremely patient mom when it comes to noise yet even I have found myself saying "For the love of all that is holy, land that cat!"In summary: inexpensive, well-built, very-entertaining, and definitely worth the price. Howeve, be prepared to purchase ear plugs and receive a note from your child's teacher telling you that Barbie and Cosmonaut Kitty are no longer welcome at school.

Glad I waited
At the current price of around twelve dollars this is absolutely worth it for a child who likes starlight. The wand detaches, then she is left with the blue handle in her hand. The doll without the flying cat is more than this one. And that one cannot sit either, so even if this one breaks its okay. The batteries aren’t fun to put in and it takes four AAAs. To make it work, you have to hold down the button constantly on the back of the leg.The cord can sometimes get tangled in the spinning propellers but it's fine to unravel.Getting hit with a spinning propeller will not hurt you. At most, lightly sting. This item is very loud like a mini weed whacker. But my kid has fun with it and its cheap so I am content.

Shockingly fun for whole family
My 3 year old daughter loved it and her 3 older brothers...not as much. She was lauging uncontrollably laugh as she chased the boys through the house with them practically jumping over each other. It wasn't until one of the boys was rolling on the ground in pain from wiping out trying so hard to get away from her it dawned on me that they weren't pretending to make her laugh. So I ask what's the deal with the barbie and our 15 year old says it shocks you, she got the back of my neck and it hurt like heck. Next thing you know my daughter comes flying down the hallway to shock her other brother still rolling on the ground. The propellers weren't on and the thing was arcing between the two points. While quickly grabbing it out of her hands it dang near looked like the cat was holding a stun gun and it was suppose to do that. I was thinking this can't be right, look it up to find that surely it's not suppose to do that, and here I am leaving a review. Gave it 4 stars cause all 4 kids were laughing and playing together for a straight 30 minutes. I couldn't quite give it 5 because it seems slightly dangerous and I have to indefinitely put it away. Dad thinks no harm no foul and wants to keep it of course. Definitly entertaining for all ages.

Fun For a Few Minutes but a Must Have for Collectors
This Galactic Barbie w/ her Hover Cat is a "one trick pony", but fun for a while and something I think might become a rare collectible someday. Her body is stiff with limited mobility as it is a vessel for 4 AAA batteries. The cat is a lightweight hollow plastic and easily lifts off for flight from almost any starting position. The cord occasionally tangles during flight, but is easy to fix. Barbie's pink body suit is molded to her body. Her vinyl skirt, metallic vest and boots are all removable. When the "leash" is unsnapped, Barbie is left holding a blue handle. She entertained both my son and daughter. I like her as a collectible.

space cat who flies with the greatest of ease at the end of her space fishing ...
Ok... so..... what can be said about a Barbie that is both a fashionable space explorer AND has a dual helicopter blade toting, spacesuit wearing, space cat who flies with the greatest of ease at the end of her space fishing pole! Holy moly, this is just AWESOME!! Our daughter LOVES IT!I dont know what Mattel was thinking when the designer came up with this one (the wackiest I've ever seen) , but they get huge kudos from us!

Would not buy again, plain doll would be better
This is cute but it is really loud and scares my baby so my older daughter can only use it outside or in a different area of the house. My daughter also made a comment that she doesn't like how the leash is permanently stuck to barbie's hand because she likes to play barbies with friends and you can't really do that with this doll. Also I hate that there is no off switch so if my toddler gets a hold of it he can just push the button and wear down the batteries. The flying cat is cool but the novelty wears off very fast.

Great add-on price!!
I had bought this doll at a store for full price for my granddaughters birthday and although she loved it, I was very disappointed in it. My other granddaughter wanted one for Christmas and I cringed at the thought of it at full price, so when I saw it at t your "add-on" price, you made this gift a big hit with both of us!! Way to go Amazon!!!

Fun for an hour...
Super cute, my 3 year old loved it! You have to be really careful with this. I got it on a black Friday steal and still didn't get more than a days use out of it. Essentially one hour of "play" before the cat stopped lifting off. I quote the word "play" because you really can only sit still with this toy. Barb's legs do not bend and her outfit doesn't change. In addition if you try to walk/run with this the cord gets stuck in the propeller. Seems like when the propeller popped off once the cat never took off again. Also very loud. Can be scary at first.
