Woodwise 14-lb Powered Wood Filler White Oak

Great filler that can be adjusted for use in various ways for patching hardwood floors. Used this product to fill gaps and knots in a utility grade floor approx 800 sf. It is a quality product for professional use and a great deal for the coverage. Easy to mix in the quantity needed at time of use, and can be stored once mixed in an air tight container so it doesn’t set up. Dries fast, goes on smooth, and sands like wood. Recommend for any hardwood flooring project.

We used this wood fill for our newly installed character grade unfinished hard wood floors.There are mixing instructions on the bag, but I simply out the entire bag in a 5 gallon bucket and added water a little at a time until it was pancake batter consistently. It would thicken as I was using it but I just added more water and remixed. Dried fully in about 8 hours (we had some deep knot holes to fill). Sanded easily and is very smooth.Our hard wood floors are a mix of white oak, red oak and black jack and we used the white oak wood fill.

Easy to use, mixes to desired consistency, fill even wide cracks well. Just used it, will it last? We will see, so I give it four stars. I don't expect miracles but if it holds up even reasonable well I will give it five. Filling cracks in wood flooring is notoriously difficult so we will see. You do get a large quantity for the money, worth to give it a try.

I bought this wood filler ( White Oak color ) because I was doing a repair and refinish to my hardwood floor. It's easy to mix and the color match is perfect, much better than the original filler used on the floor.

It has to be replied sometimes twice

My floors are > 100 years old with large gaps so perhaps this will not be a big deal with newer floors. When staining the floor dark, this product will show through. If there is a way to tint the water with food coloring, that might work. I did a second coat but had to lay the stain on it thickly to hide it. A day and a half later, the stain is still tacky.This stain will be great for a light-colored floor. Easy to mix and work with and sand for this novice.
