Best Laptop You'll Find for the Price
I love this little laptop more than any other laptop I have ever used. It's compact, quiet, colorful and only continues to impress.First of all, I cannot seem the wrap my head around all the negative reviews. Some of the common complaints I have seen are about the display being cheap, trackpad being finicky and the speakers being quiet.Obviously I can't speak for anyone else, but in my experience I find that I disagree with all of those points. The Display is crisp and clear and genuinely surprised me with how nice it looks. The trackpad is super smooth and reactive, and the speakers are honestly better than my older $400 HP laptop ! In fact, so is the display. This computer is a little slow to load web pages, I will admit. But it is absolutely NOT a deal breaker. I knew going in that this laptop is not the most powerful or the fastest and that is just fine with the $220 price tag! It does exactly what I need, loading pages with lots of heavy images in still only 2-3 seconds. I think a lot of us have been spoiled and expect everything to load within the blink of an eye. This is hardly noticeable, and doesn't bother me at all. This laptop also has no problems playing Youtube videos or streaming services like Netflix or Hulu. I already watched a few hours of my favorite shows on this with no lag in perfect quality! It makes me very sad to see all the bad reviews on this little guy. It isn't the fastest, and you'll probably need an SD card or flashdrive to help with the memory, but it has not let me down once since I bought it.Beautiful exterior color, clear, colorful display, speedy with programs and streaming, and an absolutely steal for the price. I have already recommended this to everyone I know, So I hope I can recommend it to anyone reading. Please take the bad reviews with a grain of salt as they seem to come from a lot of older customers who are not very tech savvy - just take the time to set this up right and delete the bloatware and pre-installed antivirus (you really don't need it with windows 10 anyway and it will just hog the cpu)And consider using a lightweight browser to help load web pages faster! The HP Stream 14 is worth every penny I spent and more. You will have a very hard time finding a better machine for this price<3p.s. I have never written a review before but i just love this laptop so much I had to

Great laptop that is light weight very portable and has a great blue color!
Purchased this laptop after my Chromebook stopped working. Could not be happier with it! I have now owned this for 7 months and it is still working well and I have not had any issues at all. Really wanted to wait before writing a review on this item just to make sure that I was totally satisfied with this item. Also, I wanted to see how long it would last without anything going wrong with it.This laptop is not heavy at all which is great for carrying it around the house and on the go. My chrome was heavier than this laptop so to me this is a super plus! I give it an A for being light weight and portable. The color is a really nice blue that does match my office décor. The blue color is not blinding and also not dull it is just the perfect color that does not scream! It has many features that come with it although I have not used most of them because I just really need it to store my paperwork, notes and work on home budgets etc… The office products are wonderful so if you need a laptop for home, office or even school work I would recommend this laptop as a great purchase. Not having watched any movies on it, I can not really comment but it does play youtube videos really well. The one thing that is really important to me is the keyboard and this one is perfect for me. The keyboard is a good size and I am able to type out my letters and such really fast without having any of the keys getting stuck or locking up which I did start to have a problem with my chrome.I have used this laptop hours at a time and it does not get hot like others I have owned which is wonderful! Also, I have not had any issues with it freezing or locking up on me.I would recommend this laptop to anyone that is considering buying it. It will definitely fit all your needs and much more. It is light weight and portable with a great blue color.

Only buy if this is absolutely, without a doubt, your last choice
This is absolutely the worst computer you could ever throw your money at. That being said, yes, this is my personal opinion based on my experiences. However, I'll break down for you why I think so.I bought this computer after my three-year old MacBook Pro (2012 model) died on me (also a horrid computer after just a year or two of use). I was going abroad for a semester and needed a computer that was quick, efficient, and cheap. This computer guaranteed that with its super fast wifi antennas, <$250 price tag, and a bunch of other empty promises. I use my computer for schoolwork (researching, typing up essays, making presentations) and a bit of leisure (social media, occasional video and game streaming). All in all, I use my computer for about 3-5 hours of every day. It used to be more but this computer has made even these 3-5 hours of use difficult. Before I even start going into problems, keep in mind I have not even had this computer for 6 months. I got it at the end of December and it's early May now. This computer began giving me problems from day one. I knew it would be slow before removing all the bloatware but even then, it was almost impossible. Its tiny 32GB EMMC came practically full and after removing all I could, I was still at about 22/29GB. I also have an issue with the fact that this computer runs on EMMC instead of HDD; for those of you who don't know what the difference is: tablets/phones tend to run on EMMC while other computers run on either HDD, SSD, or HDD and SSD. Anyways, this computer is NOT convertible (meaning it does not turn into a tablet) NOR touchscreen so I don't see the need for EMMC over HDD (my guess is it keeps the price cheap). However, it sucks. It makes the computer run slower regardless of if you're in desktop mode or (the mostly pointless) tablet mode. The first time I turned it on, it worked alright. Slow, but alright. The second day I used it, it turned on but did not boot. My cursor would appear after the HP symbol but instead of taking me to the sign in page, it would just stay on a blank screen. Forcing the computer off and then back on seemed to fix the issue (after disk checking) but was still a bit of a damper in my mood. This still happens occasionally but it's the least of my worries at this point, honestly.I have not been able to update this computer since day 1 either. I try to download all of my apps on my OneDrive so I don't take up storage but even then, it's impossible. The new update is requiring a whopping THIRTEEN and a half GB of space to download. I have less than 1GB available and I believe I've only downloaded three or four applications to the actual EMMC that were all around or less than 1 GB of space. It runs slower than anything I've ever seen. I honestly think my 1998 Windows could've opened a web page faster. It's taken this computer up to 10 minutes to open Chrome right after start-up. It's also more moody than anything I've ever seen. Sometimes it will work so slow that you can't even move the mouse in time. The first time it happened, I spent the better part of a half hour just trying to get the menu bar to open so I could click shut down. Nowadays I'm too impatient (and frustrated) to wait and just shut it off manually.Randomly, a month or two ago, it began displaying a random picture I had saved/created on my OneDrive as my lock screen background. Yet, when I go into the settings, it says it's still set to what it should be. Usually going into settings fixes it but its just another little annoyance. Recently, it's also picked up this habit of not displaying anything on start-up. The power light will be on but the screen will remain black. I don't know how to fix it besides just giving it time (and I mean hours, usually overnight, of it being off) because even turning it on and off doesn't work. It's happened to me twice so far and as a college student approaching finals I REALLY don't appreciate it one bit.Lastly, the only pro for me about this computer is the weight. It definitely is lightweight and much better to carry than my old macbook pro. But what good is that if it doesn't do what I need it to when I need it?Synopsis/tldr; Unless you desperately need a computer and really can't afford anything over this price, then I guess you're stuck. But if you have the space to save for something better, please do. I can assure you a much better laptop is out there within the $300-$700 range. While it may not be perfect, it can get you through much more than this. This laptop is incredibly slow by nature, barely has space, and is littered with bugs and issues. It is, at best, a minimally functioning computer.
