The petroleum/gasoline smell is OVERPOWERING (and it's falling apart)
First off, when this package was delivered, the delivery person commented that it had smelled up his entire delivery truck - he thought, as did I, that the box must have been sitting in some spilled gasoline, because the smell was overpowering. Just having the box inside the house for a half hour forced us to open all of the windows to get the smell out of the air.We then opened the box and took out the protective cover, and that's when we realized that the smell was coming from the plastic itself, not the box. Obviously, this is made from petroleum products, but never have I ever smelled something this overpowering. We had to eventually take it out of the garage the following day, and left it outside, far from our house. BUT the smell was so overpowering that getting anywhere near where we had placed this product was unpleasant, and although it was down a flight of stairs from our backyard, we could smell it every time we were outside. It continues to smell over a week later, with no sign that it's getting better. In the meantime, I noticed that the plastic pins holding on the flaps were coming out, and I couldn't push them back in further. But, frankly, just touching this product requires that you go inside immediately and wash your hands. We've even hosed it off, but that didn't reduce the smell.I really almost never write a product review, but this thing really needs a warning. I won't even send it back, because I don't want to touch it, and there's no way that our local post office or UPS store would accept anything that stank this badly. Thanks a lot, folks.

Lots of room for cables
I redesigned my living room which now requires cables to run across a walkway for a few feet, instead of exclusively along the walls. All the cable protectors I've seen are only good enough for one maybe two cables, but this runner has a very wide channel. Right now I have 8 cables of various shapes, sizes and materials running through it, with room for more. I keep the protector in place with some adhesive velcro strips. If you're also running multiple cables through, think about tying or taping them together in a loose bundle. The only downside of this protector is that it bends quite easily, and never quite goes back into a straight edge shape, so handle it carefully.

Great way to clear up cord clutter
I purchased the biggest version of this, with two channels and the yellow door that closes over the top.I keep my computer desk in the middle of the room, which means I'm running power cables, microphone cables, instrument cables, etc. across the floor. Add a Roomba to the mix, and it can get messy. The cheap, soft rubber cable concealers are good (I'm using those elsewhere in the room), but can't hold more than one or two cables. They also tend to curl up and skitter around on carpet unless they're held down by furniture or something, even with some hook velcro on the back to give some grip. This, however, is a great upgrade. It's rigid and substantial enough to hold its ground and not get pushed around by a Roomba or shuffling feet. It's also really easy to access for adding more cables. I'm currently running two ethernet cables, a 3/8" thick power cable, and a 1/4" thick power cable through one channel, and two microphone cables and an instrument cable through the other- and there's plenty of room for more in each channel.Disadvantage #1: Unlike the small, cheap soft cord concealers, the Roomba can't make it over this one because the ramp is too steep. The Roomba can access the other side by going around the computer desk, though, so it's not a big deal for me.Disadvantage #2: It's pretty pricey, considering what it is, what it's made of, and what it does.
