Great mobility, great suction, great battery
Have had a corded vacuum for years that made it a hassle whenever you wanted to clean up the odd hair trim on the floor etc. Went with Shark for my first cordless vacuum and I have to say the first thing I noticed was it’s portability. Easy to move and place wherever you want and can start hoovering with the touch of a button. The suction was incredible and picked up a lot more noticeable dust from our carpets. I can use this on full power on both our floors and still be left with about 20% battery, so it is more than enough to vacuum in one go. Battery does take some time to fully charge (around 4+ hours for a full charge I think), but unless you vacuum more than once a day, it’s no issue. It can get a bit straining to use on one arm, as the vacuum is too heavy, so keep that in mind. Overall, a good cordless vacuum that has great suction and a great battery life.

A great little hoover.
Bought this to replace my more traditional hoover with big secondary caboose - at the time I bought that stick vacuums did not really have anti hair wrap which is a necessity in my household. but nowadays they all do.In terms of cleaning ability and power it's still perhaps a rung down from a traditional two part hoover - but more than enough for most people's day to day clean. It sucks up copious dust and flecks with no issue, as you would hope, unless your house is seriously soiled this will do the job.Appearance wise it looks like every other stick vac and follows the same design language as Sharks other hoovers - it looks nice though it is all plastic and not exactly "sleek" but its a hoover, who cares. It has three buttons, On, Carpet or Smooth floor, and Suction level - can't get much simpler to use than that. All the attachments and connectors use the same press to release mechanism, so it's easy to get parts on or off where needed.Like all atick vacs you can pull it apart to use as a single handed mini vac, this makes it quite versatile but there's nothing special about this - even with all the attachments off its not terribly small so dont expect to squirrel it away in your car.

Replaced my Vax cordless - not a bad unit but could be better
So this a strange one - I used to be a Vax over Dyson fan until recently more and more of my Vax products started to break down.Up till a few years ago, Vax were great at sending replacements but not so much now.So we converted to Shark and this was a fairly risky move given the price vs the Vax.In short, its great - plenty of battery time and replaceable battery, folds really neatly etc and well...sucks the junk from the floor.Suction on carpet is excellent and this shows when running over the same part using our mains powered shark.BUT on tile not so much and this is why we got this - for the kitchen.Yesterday we had rice krispies on the floor when the little one used them as target practice and it really struggled.I was changing power modes from low to high and also hard floor to carpet but it just moved the bits around.Crack open the old vax and this seemed to do better. I can only think the dual roller is in some ways blocking bits like this being sucked in which yet carpet the same thing goes in fine. Not a show stopper but does take a bit of patience and more of that battery power for what seems to be less work for the Vax.Converting it to a handheld is excellent and while a bit heavy, does a good job on stairs and car.The display is also brilliant as are the lights which are very useful! My biggest annoyance is the buttons that aid making life easier ... or not. When upright, the front button disconnects the top to convert to handheld and the rear black button is to fold it. But when folded, the front button (now black) is the one that lets you get it back upright. However behind when folded is the orange one that drops the whole thing to the floor to convert it to handheld.Just need to remember this - a few times it has crashed to the floor (tiles) when pressing the button because we went for the one behind and not front.

Fairly decent vacuum cleaner
I'm overall pretty happy with this vacuum cleaner, and I've compared it to my old Dyson DC40.Firstly, I gave my front room (old low piled carpet) a good vacuum with my old cleaner, then went over it again with my new Shark model on boost mode. The first two pictures show the difference, which I think speaks for itself.Weight wise I think it's reasonable, and it's good to steer. I say this because my old cleaner was very difficult to maneuver, and basically needed two hand steering at all times, which was exhausting going through an entire house. It's taken me a bit to get used to the light steering going between my cleaners, but I quite like it and get on with it well now.The inside of the cleaner is easy to empty, and I like the filter isn't just a cylinder, but pointed, so hair slips right off instead of being stuck. One downside however is the handle. I find it hard to maintain a good grip of the middle of it, and end up holding it closer to the digital display, because my hand/grip slides. After going over thee rooms this leaves me with close to what I would call a blister, so less ideal. Perhaps someone else would maintain a better grip, but with early arthritis I don't have the strength to do so.The battery time is quite alright if used on setting 1 or 2 for both hard floor and carpet settings, but runs out fast if left on boost setting. I think this is to be expected, but also not something I do every time I vacuum. It's reasonably fast to recharge either way.
