Super fun
My kids love to have friends over for game nights and this is one they always ask to play.

This is an expansion (albeit a standalone expansion) â there is a base game!
I totally derped and didnât read that this was an expansion. Thatâs on me, so Iâm not knocking the game for that. However, this is supposed to be a standalone expansion that ârecommends but doesnât requireâ the base game, and I can totally see that from looking through the cards and the gameplay. I donât get together with my family or friends that often, so I havenât had a chance to play this yet, but it looks super fun and more creative than Cards Against Humanity (I know, boo me, but I said what I said). Iâm especially interested in seeing how my friends try to explain their (what Iâm sure will be) hilarious reasonings for the cards they play.A bonus: the base game (Danger The Game) is available to print for free on Origami Whale Gamesâ website! So even if youâre like me and picked this up without realizing, you donât have to run out and immediately buy another game just to play this one. I might though, since I really like how OW Games has done both this game and the base game (which again, you can print for FREE!)! Will update once we get a chance to play.

The Perfect Dose of Comedic Therapy
When I selected âDanger: The Gameâ for my girls-only game night, I wasnât sure how it would land. Sure, playing with my seven madcap siblings, all with wild imaginations and healthy vocabularies, it could be a blast. But a group of women who didnât all know one another?Thankfully, my fears were unfounded. After I gave a brief overview of the rules, one friend emphasized the necessity of embellishing the danger cards. Then, after playing the first scenario clockwise according to the rules, we threw that out the window and decided anyone could offer their skill and tool the moment they felt readyâif no one else jumped in first. We also made generous use of the âplot twistâ cards, throwing wrenches in each playerâs storyline whenever the possibility arose. We laughed until we snorted, hyperventilated, or criedâat times, possibly all three. This game *could* fail to deliver depending on the group, either due to lack of imagination or simply not caring. But give it to a lighthearted, imaginative group of overextended moms, and itâs the perfect dose of comedic therapy.Side note: we were playing with nine, so we mixed the Whack-a-Moley set in with the base game and played through all the cards before declaring a winner. The rules suggest playing until one player gets only two danger cards as the win condition in such a large group, but we werenât ready to quit so early.
