JacobsKronung Whole Bean Coffee 500 Gram / 17.6 Ounce (Pack of 4)

My mother in Germany used this coffee. She made the best cup of coffee ever . I could not brew a single good cup of coffee in the USA .I have tried every American coffee there is and actually wondered if my tastebuds had changed I Every morning I would tell my husband (not a coffee drinker ) how bad the coffee was. I tried every method of coffee brewing, but to no awail, it was always disappointing ! So after living here for over 50 years , I found Jacob's kronung on Amazon , just by accident . I almost cried ! It never occurred to me to search for it there,, after all it is German Coffee ! All these years of drinking lousy coffee-well they are over and done with . At least I have a few (very few) years left to look forward to my next cup of excellent, non bitter, non acid , coffee, Hallelujah ! Thank you Amazon !

This is a German brand and very good !! Smooth, taste good, not acidity, good price.

Europeans consider our taste buds to be inferior. a French man said to me, we use to send our junk wine to America because they couldn't tell the difference. We also had inferior Beer. Both of these things have changed but with coffee the best still goes to Europe. I suspect that this coffee is produced solely for the American market. 1 of the 4 packages had lost its vacuum seal [important for freshness]. When I opened one of the sealed bags I saw nothing but small and crushed beans [reads poor quality bottom end coffee]. Very mild in flavor [espresso tastes like a standard cup of coffee]. If you hate the flavor of good coffee this is the coffee for you.

I have acid reflux and Jacobs Kronung is the best tasting low acid coffee I have found. This coffee has a lot of flavor and great aroma without the acid bite that some coffees have. I have made the coffee in a drip coffee maker as well as a French press, both with good results.

Jacob's is the best!! We had it when we were in Germany and so glad we can get it in the states. Smooth, low acid, creamy, never bitter. Most American coffee gives me an upset stomach and the jitters but not Jacobs. And it's much more reasonably priced than "good" American coffee. I highly recommend ☕☕☕

One of my favorite coffee's to use with my WMF 900 it's not bitter but well balanced and everybody that tries it wants to know what coffee is this Many of my friends that Normally need sugar with their coffee find that they can drink this black or with just a little bit of half-and-half

The Jacobs Kronung Whole Bean Coffee does allow for a pretty good cup of coffee. Apparently the Jacobs brand hearkens back to the 1800's in Germany when Johan Jacobs opened a specialty shoppe in Bremen to introduce his own special German blend of coffee. Good story, but the coffee beans you receive today are resourced from all over the world, and I doubt any of it is coming from Germany at all.I used a high end cappuccino machine to brew several cups so far. I add two shots of espresso to the coffee to give it the boldness I enjoy. The results are certainly pleasing - a bold intensity while retaining the crispness of a lighter blend. A slight lingering acidic aftertaste detracts from the experience though. This bitterness prevents the 5 star rating.The green packaging makes me think of a decaffeinated variety, but there is plenty of pick-me-up in a single serving. This flavor works well in the morning when you need a boost of caffeine followed by a brushing of the teeth to freshen up. It's less appealing for an afternoon break.I've found less expensive brands that I prefer over the Jacobs Kronung Whole Bean Coffee, so it's probably not appropriate to highly recommend this product. But it is good coffee, and my palette differs from yours. I'd recommend trying a cup before committing to a larger order.
