Great; Doesn't taste like it's from scratch but great for what it is
I really like this marinade. My Jamaican parents use the walkerswood jerk rub as a starting point for their jerk marinade at home. I was actually looking for that product on amazon and found this marinade instead. And I decided to give it a try. As a student, I do not have the time to make an authentic Jamaican Jerk Sauce on my own (nor do I really have the know-how) but this marinade tasted really good.I am often very disappointed by pre-prepared jerk sauces. They are either too sweet or too spicy but this was perfect as a quick and easy alternative to the what I have at home. I baked my jerk chicken and used the leftover fluids in the dish as gravy for my rice and peas. It was perfect and filling! While I'll always prefer my parents' jerk sauce, I'll continue to use this sauce when I can't get home to my parents' house for dinner.

BEST JERK MARINADE
My go to jerk marinade for chicken or whatever, I use a zip lock freezer bag to marinade for two days, I set them out for 45 minutes before grilling... baste on each turn...

Great stuff
The local grocer chain discontinued Walkerwoods (I was always they carried it in the first place). Low and behold its available on Amazon! I ordered it for an impending cook out. I like to say this is the best, only second to the original Walkerswood jerk spice. This marinade is meant to be more potent than the traditional seasoning to speed up the process. This being said The finished product is island flavorful and not overpowering. It is spicy, its a smoldering heat meaning though its potent it is not overpowering. You still get the savory notes. If you are not initiated with spicy foods you may want to try the milder version. Sodium concerns maybe in an issue, but if you are mainly concerned with taste, grab a bottle marinade it, light up wood coals grill and enjoy!

LOVE WALKERSWOOD JERK SAUCE
It is made with scotch bonnet pepper which are spicy not just hot; flavorful along with the spicy aspect. The flavor is amazing. This is the best Jerk sauce we have had other than home made. I thought I was saving money by purchasing the larger bottles however, the sauce has added water making it a soupy sauce rather than the thick sauce I had previously. That is the ONLY reason it is a 4 and not a 5. The thicker sauce coats much better with no run off. Taste is there though.

Hot and delicious
Very savory sauce with a spicy kick. I usually make my own jerk marinade which is fun when I'm thinking ahead and in the mood. but this is the best substitute. I added the juice of one orange and some extra virgin olive oil. No salt necessary; this has plenty. I sliced slits in the meat so the seasoning could get through and used the Walkerswood barbecue sauce for basting (chicken and steak this time). Charred meat on both sides, then used indirect heat on the opposite side of grill to finish Turned out so darn good. Served with plantains, rice and corn on the cob.

Better Than Expected
Everyone loved the taste of my smoked wings marinated in this sauce. At first I wasn't sure how they'd turnout since I thought the marinade was sorta watery. But man, the wings tasted great! Definitely will order again.

I was very disappointed because I wanted that heat and spice that real ...
I wanted to make real jerk chicken at home so I used it to marinade chicken. I read the instructions on the bottle that warned to apply sparingly; which I did. I used about 1/3 of the bottle for 24 pieces of chicken legs and thighs. I let it marinade overnight and cooked it in my wood-fired smoker. Although the chicken was flavorful it was not spicy or hot as indicated on the bottle. I was very disappointed because I wanted that heat and spice that real jerk chicken provides. So on my second attempt I used the remaining 2/3 of the bottle for about 30 chicken wings. This time I let it marinade for 48 hours before cooking them in my wood-fired smoker. The chicken wings were very flavor but sadly lacked that heat level I was trying to achieve.
