For me regular brushes will quickly disturb the first gouache layer when I try to put another layer of a different color on top of it. Nice array of different brush styles. I will definitely but more.

First and only brush set that I have seen for gouache. Works great! My fav for gouache and sketchbooks!

I wish I could give these brushes a higher rating as so many seem to like them, however like other reviews I've seen, the wooden handles of my brushes have seemed to absorb water, and cracked. Not only that, but I believe that in my #12 round especially, there is paint trapped in the ferrule of the brush that I cannot for the life of me get cleaned out. The paint trapped in the ferrule has stained the wooden brush handle green. I never leave my brushes soaking in the water - the cracking of the paint has just come from the painting process. I probably won't buy etchr brushes again due to these issues, sadly.

While not my favorite gouache brushes (that title goes to the Jack Richeson travel set recommended and used by James Gurney), but these are solid. Like most Etchr products, these brushes are lovingly packaged and shipped, don’t break the bank, and get the job done as intended. If you’re new to gouache and coming to that medium via watercolor, and looking for a dedicated set of brushes specifically for your gouache practice, these are a safe bet.

No dislikes.I am new to gouache and these brushes were perfect helping me learn that medium. They have a variety of shapes and sizes fit into spaces in a cloth holder that wraps up and ties into a compact bundle that it easy to slip into any part of your painting kit. Took them to Italy on a painting trip and didn’t need any additional brushes at all.

Love the etchr products and these brushes are wonderful. I was really pleased with the variety of sizes and found my gouache paint loves them too!I originally bought them direct from Etchr before the brushes were available here on Amazon. So glad they are available here now, too.
