Husqvarna 525509501 42" Deck Wheel Kit

Well designed and fit like a charm, however the deck bracket as manufactured does make for a difficult fit getting a couple of the nuts on the back of the washers.. *great job* in including *lock* washers so that once they get started they tighten easily without needing to use 2 wrenches! The wheel bolt is just a pain to crank on, I suppose that is to ensure it stays put during use, but it seemed that tightening a bolt should not be that hard or time consuming. Still, I would buy it again, and was thankful they didn't skimp on washers or lock-nuts and was cheaper than comparable others!

This is a well put together kit with quality hardware and nice instructions. It worked perfectly on my Ariens 42” deck and stopped the deck from diving and scalping my turf.Other reviewers state the kit doesn’t provide the right nuts for the wheel bolts. The kit includes prevailing torque nuts that’s why they’re hard to tighten. No need to change the nuts out.

It got 4 stars because i had to go purchase the lock nuts to attach the wheels to the bracket from the hardware store. Just like all the other reviews say, it does not include the correct hardware to mount it to any application, some say their nuts were the incorrect size, my kit did not even have any. I guess i was hoping i would be the exception, but i was not, so plan a trip to the hardware store. Other than that, my mower cuts much for level and even, they work great once you get them on.

For those stating the nuts aren't correct do not understand what they're talking about. The nuts are pressed inward to cause an interference fit so they don't back out. They are a type of locking nut most people haven't seen before. Just tighten them and you're good to go. Do not purchase other nuts.

Ordered these in January for my Craftsman LT1000 and had to wait until the season began to install. Well, today, 3 April was the day, installation was easy as pie, instructions were 100% outstanding to understand, seemed to help out a lot when I cut. Do not hesitate to purchase these if you have grass scalping and digging by your 42" mower deck.

This kit was nicer than I expected. A little tricky to install due to the location of the 2 lower bolts on each side, but this is because of the mfg design not this parts Maker fault.The wheels are much bigger then they look in the pictures and are very stout and durable. I've hit them really hard on tree stumps, 4x4 mailbox post and concrete curb, they've held up great.

The parts are good quality but they came with brackets that are probably a correction attempt at bad design yet they don't mount anywhere on the deck. Yes,I made sure to enter the correct model for the order. I have to cut the welded ones on the deck and drill holes to mount these new ones. They forgot to include washers that were in the instructions too.

A little difficult to bolt or remove a few bolts, but managed ok. Fit pretty well. Received it on time and was happy it had some basic directions. Thanks
