Once I'd worked out how to set this up it is a great piece of kit. Clear, good quality pictures day and night and I can watch my dog while I'm at work or out and about. I would definitely recommend!

I've owned a few cameras like this and they are pretty much plug and play, normally very simple to connect. Not this one. The instructions I received were out of date and did not match the menu in the app I was told to download. Then I spent numerous wasted hours trying to connect it, both automatic searching and manually - app wasn't able to detect it (pic attached). Eventually I gave up and emailed the Arcanite support through the Amazon site. No answer (over 1 week now). No Arcanite website or social media support that I could find. So i tried again a few days later and despite failing 4 or 5 times initially, miraculously the app somehow detected the camera eventually and it was set up, happy days. Or so I thought. Next day I check the app - camera offline (pic attached). I go through the whole process again but this time no luck. I've now spent hours trying to connect this camera which should be a 2min job, before deciding it was actually useless so I returned it. Do yourself a favour and don't get sucked in by the cheap price like i did - I'll never get those hours back

I’m using this primarily for keeping an eye on longer 3D printing jobs. I’ve got the printer on a smart plug so I can turn it off remotely if it all goes pear-shaped. Unless I’m printing a pear, then it’s fine.The picture quality is good but do bear in mind that it’s only 1080p, so don’t expect to be able to see fine detail. In my case for example, I can’t see imperfections in a print, I can only see if a print has failed completely (like if a print has fallen over and the printer is squirting hot plastic into the void). Motion detection works great, but I’ve switched it off as my printer sets it off.The night vision function works well, as does the speaker and mic (fun for pranking the kids). I can imagine saying ‘boo’ to burglars would be funny, but I doubt it would be enough scare them off. However having a ticket to the premier screening of some bloke getting his unmentionables chewed off by 60 kilos of Russian terrier would be absolutely priceless.I’ve not tried recording anything as I’m not using it as a security camera, but I’m happy with the streaming video quality.Overall it’s great for the money, setup was simple and the app works well (on iphone). Recommended.

QualityThe camera quality is good to great, but was fairly difficult to set up. I'm in IT and am good with setups usually, however the camera only allows set up with a QR code that is really difficult to line up correctly. Mileage may vary, some users have reported that they found this easier so it's really not an objective measure seemingly, still good to keep in mind if you're not overly confident with technology.Also worth mentioning, night mode works really well and you're able to save photos directly to your phone's gallery with the app.SizeCamera is sized as stated in photos, perfect for what I needed as it's fairly compact and fits in my bookshelf where I wanted it well.LookCamera has a quirky techy look to it, a lot of smooth edges and doesn't hide that it's a camera, which is by the by.Value for moneyGreat value for money, I paid just over a tenner and am able to watch my cat while I'm at work - I may buy one or two more as the app allows multiple cameras to be connected at once.IMPORTANT NOTE: The camera requires either an SD card or a cloud data subscription service provided by the company only to store video. Keep in mind if you're planning on using this for anything other than light surveillance on a pet.

Edit, was amazing for first few weeks but now makes a constant banging sound and then like an echoing sound after which is constant so have to have sound off. Used to watch puppies and now gone, was going to use as a baby monitor but can't really now.Used to keep an eye in new puppies threw the night, really clear picture and can hear well, can also communicate back threw it to which is cool. Easy to set up

Fantastic camera for the price, no need to spend lots of money as this works as good as the ones costing over £50. Night vision is clear, easy to set up and it has a motion detector so any movement the camera will automatically follow.I had my worries it wasn’t going to be very good, but it’s even better than my ring camera that I hated having to pay a monthly subscription for!

Wasted about 3 hours to connect it to the app. Had to reset it 6 times, still nothing.Also performed a manual adding which after resetting the camera the app can see it.Also seen by my router but as is on its last bit where it should come up on the phone, it says failed to connect, check this and that. BTW this is not the first IP cam I deal with, but this one it's a pain in the x. So it's going back, actually I should throw it straight in the bin and save time to take it back but I want my refund.

Took two seconds to set up, just plug camera in, download app on phone, scan a QR code on camera and it's done.The picture quality is absolutely amazing, and the camera is very responsive to any movement commands (swiping the picture on your phone).I live rurally with bad internet but the camera still soemgow works a treat with high quality picture.I legitimately cannot fault the camera. If I find anything I will update the review!!Small negative is they don't provide a plug for the camera with it (they provide the cable on its own) but most devices don't come with a plug nowadays anyway.The cable isn't super long but should be long enough for most people's applications I reacon.
