They do the job!
Our building is leaking... Really leaking. We are taking in about 600 gallons of water every time it rains. (The building will be torn down soon!) We are using the quick dams to create a clean up area that is manageable. We have deployed them once and left them in the room for a month so far. They haven't broken down and they continue to work beautifully. Customer service got me to a real person who could help me make the decision to purchase this product. They have not disappointed! Thank you, Quick Dam for bringing some sense of sanity to this crazy summer. We are using the 10' and 17' pieces.

Quick dams
They work great! Have used between my pool and my house during heavy rains. They expand and provide protection. They then dry out well and are easily stored.

Is this supposed to happen?
These work pretty well, but is the stuff inside supposed to come out like this?

Great quick solution to the flooding around my RV
Campgrounds are not always graded like a normal city street and my spot happens to be an unofficial watershed of sorts from the dirt road behind my rig. Weight being a concern always, carrying around bags of sand is not an option. I ordered these and then went out and positioned a few of them to "corral" the runoff above my lot. Problem solved! Now I'm lake front and not lake-top property here and I'm so happy! I just leave them out there and they keep working for each round of rain (frequent this year). Someone ran over one of them and it flattened it. But, it seems to still be working. In another spot, some fool really smashed and turned on it with their truck tire. Some of the goo escaped and that spot did not recover. I'll have to put a new one out there. Luckily, I have extra because these weigh very little and I don't mind keeping them on hand in my storage bay. Highly recommend for RV crowd!

They float !
These are not as advertised. If the water is more than a couple of inches they will float away ! The theory of them stopping water is ok if you have a small amount under 1 inch and no pressure or water flow. They just float away if the water is deeper and will not work as they company says they will. Don't think of these to replace sand bags, they will not work for a significant amount of water such as a flood.Obviously, they don't work as noted in website info. (see below) Followed directions completely and they were good for about 1 hour then just floated away. Don't waste your money !Copy of website info....Quick Dam Flood Bags Water Activated Flood Bags absorb, control, & divert flood water Protect your home or property in times of flooding with Quick Dam sandless sandbags. They are ready to use. Just lie in place and let the water do the rest. Quick Dams expand and activate on contact with water. Growing in size to absorb, contain and divert problem water. Light weight and easy to use. Place in the path of problem water and prevent the water from entering your property. Stack multiple bags to increase wall height. Keep on hand for emergency situations.

work ok but they never dry out
I bought these to redirect water during flash flooding. They expanded ok and were heavy enough to redirect the water. However, before purchasing them I asked if they can be dried out again for storage, and somebody told me yes. Maybe they might if you live in a hot climate, but I live in a cooler climate and these things never dried out after months in the sun or being plopped in front of a constantly running dehumidifer. They're now a soggy, heavy mess tied up in two garbage bags in my basement for next time I need them. Ew.
