Heavy, but well made
This is an attractive, very well-made, very sturdy shofar strap. No worries about it falling apart or about longevity at all. It should last a very long time. The leather is genuine, high-quality, and smells GOOD...my whole living room smelled like a tack shop for a week after I hung my shofar. For me that was a plus. :). Only complaint I have is that the strap with the buckles and all the findings adds a surprising amount of weight, so is better to take it off before sounding the horn. The extra weight can change things a bit. But that's minor and on the whole I'm very happy with this purchase. Hanging by this strap is a secure, decorative, and functional way to store a horn without worrying that it might get knocked off a shelf. Highly recommend!

It’s beautiful
I just put this on my 32 inch kudu shofar and it’s beautiful. Makes for nice easy travel with my shofar hands free. I do leather crafting as a hobby and I was going to make one for myself, but was concerned it would somehow mess with the sound vibration through the instrument. And thinking about how much the leather would cost and the time to do it just for it to mess up the sound would be awful. However I came up with the idea to buy one first and try it out. Knowing what it would take to make all of this myself I can safely say this is good quality leather and craftsmanship. Instead of making my one I will use this one and just make any repairs needed in the future to keep it going strong.

Perfect!! (Almost)
When I received the harness, I was a little sceptical. The leather was just too hard and perfect looking. But after spending some time with a simple butter knife, some 100 grit sandpaper, and natural shea butter, I was able to distress and soften the leather to my liking. Now it looks amazing on my 53 inch shofar. It almost looks like something David himself could have carried.

Terrible leather
Anything made of genuine leather should be avoided. Genuine leather is the lowest quality garbage that will look absolutely terrible after a very short time of use. Especially when charging $80+ bucks. Those cracked belts in your closet, that’s genuine leather. Full grain is the only leather a product like this should be made of. Otherwise a waste of money.

Misleading “Genuine Leather” – Feels Like Cardboard
I bought this strap thinking I was getting a quality leather product, but what I received is nowhere near what real leather should feel like. The strap is marked “genuine leather,” but compared to my handmade full-grain leather backpack from Russia, this feels more like pressed paper or plastic with a leather-looking finish. There’s no weight, no texture, no richness - just a stiff, lifeless material that screams mass production. I understand “genuine leather” is technically real leather, but it’s the lowest grade, made from scraps and heavily processed. This strap is a prime example of how misleading that label can be.If you’ve ever owned a high-quality leather item, you’ll spot the difference instantly. Unfortunately, this doesn’t come close. Disappointing and not worth the money.
