I have bronde hair with lots of highlights that I like to keep bright. But, I have well water… so I have to be proactive in maintaining my hair color. I get my hair done every 8 weeks, but I use this one week 4 to save a trip to the salon for a gloss & tone. My hair dresser was impressed at my last appointment at how well my color had stood up, bc I usually come in needing a major tone bc of my water. But this did the trick! I’m sticking to this routine now with the winter wheat color. My hair felt like it does when I walk out of the salon and lasted until my next appointment the following month.

I love this gloss. It helps to take the brass out of the balayage that I’m trying to grow out without me having to go to a salon for another appointment. I haven’t found it damaging or drying at all, and it leaves my hair shiny. I found that even on light brown hair Smokey topaz did make my hair slightly darker, but the winter wheat color was perfect for not changing my hair while still getting rid of the brass

I had brassy roots and very light ends. Left the mixture on my roots for 20 minutes and the ends for 5. The mixture is very, very light violet in color and certainly looks benign. Lo and behold, the brassy roots look even worse than before.However, the product really did make my hair smoother and shinier. Hence 2 stars.Wouldn’t use or recommend. Waste of time. At least it’s a cheap $15 box, I guess. Buy a purple shampoo instead!

Unfortunately I can't give this product a good review. I have medium blond hair that tends to get a bit brassy from the sun. I was excited to try this product rather than dying my hair again right away. I figured I could use this to hold off coloring for a few weeks. I followed the directions exactly and left it on for the full 20 minutes. The change is so miniscule that I just can't recommend it. I don't think my hair is any healthier or shinier or softer. It was quite messy to work with and more expensive than a box of hair color. I would say a complete waste of money.

As a lifetime bronde, I wish I'd found these glosses sooner! I'm currently coming back to blonde from copper and the Winter Wheat shade perfectly cancelled out orange tones and left me golden and shiny as can be. Absolutely get this in between salon visits to refresh your blonde!

Nothing changed in my hair color...not shine, not texture, nothing. I followed instructions to the T and still got bupkis. If I could have known this prior, I would not have purchased.

This is perfect for in-between salon visits.
