The best instant coffee I’ve found! I’m hooked! Smooth flavor not harsh like others
Started buying instant packets bc I felt like making a big pot was a waste and the French press was a hassle to wash. I use an electric kettle to boil water add one packet to my mug and I’m all set! Also great for traveling! I’ve tried many brands of instant coffee packets and this is by far the best! Smooth rich flavor not harsh or bitter like others. I’m hooked! Only issue (which wasn’t really an issue for me was that the packets come packed in a bubble wrap bag not a display dispensing box so if that is an issue for you know that in advance. I store my instant coffee packets in a small basket in my coffee bar so didn’t mind at all how it came packaged.

Better and cheaper than Starbucks VIA
I really enjoy Douwe Egberts coffee. My girlfriend turned me on to it about a year ago. She would drive out of her way to some restaurant just to get herself a cup. We later found out that Burger King's BK JOE was actually Douwe Egberts so we could get it pretty much when ever we wanted. Unfortunately BK switched to Seattle's Best earlier this year so we would have to again venture out to that tiny restaurant to enjoy a cup. When I saw this product, I figured I'd have to give it a try since I've tried the VIA freeze dried coffee from Starbucks and enjoyed it. I'm happy to report that this product is better than VIA and significantly more affordable.I purchased this on 7/30/2010 and it was at my door 2 days later. The expiration date on the packages is 1/03/2012. I'm probably going to stock up on a few cases of this since I have a terrible track record of finding something I like once then never being able to find it again.200 8oz servings ($.23 a cup)I would describe this as a medium/light bodied roast with a very slight nutty flavor.Remember, taste is subjective and I don't claim to be an expert of any kind on coffee.

A smooth cup of comfort
I like the convenience of the single packs; they are sturdy and easily carried in a pocket, or any receptacle. The coffee is smooth withtasty coffee flavor. If you pour the hot water from about 6-8 inches above the cup you will get a nice froth on the coffee surface. Thenew instant coffee formulations are far superior to the old methods. I would never drink instant coffee until I recently tried the newinstant coffee varieties; I am especially impressed with the Douwe Egberts. I highly recommend Douwe Egberts, hot or cold.

Different taste
This is the first time I ordered Douwe Egberts' individual packets and it tastes different from the bottled coffee we buy. Very light taste, think of water-down coffee and we didn't even use a lot of water when we made it. Unfortunately I'm unable to return/exchange so we're stuck with over 100 packets that we won't drink.

Absolutely The Best Coffee ! ! !
I frequently travel to Australia which is where I got hooked on Douwe. The single packages in the hotel rooms are red and blue and square in shape. What I didn't drink in the room, I brought back with me and got my wife hooked. We searched and searched trying to find these red and blue packets to no avail. Douwe makes quite a few different types and packages, but I wanted the same coffee that was in these red and blue packs! So, I took a risk and this is the same stuff that was in these red and blue packs!!! My wife and I were quite amazed and very pleased. This is a very mild roast, but rich in coffee flavor. Each packet makes a good 8-10 ounce cup of coffee. I am the type of person that likes a really strong, black of dark roast, but I really like the flavor of this mild blend very much. My wife loves a mild coffee and this is exactly what she likes. Finally we agree on a coffee! :)Highly recommend this coffee at half the price of a K-Cup.

Very surprising
I'm not much of a fan of instant coffee, but appreciate the convenience when I can't either brew my own or buy a cup. That being said, I went on the search for an instant coffee that actually tastes somewhat decent. Starbucks VIA is the obvious choice, but the price (and the frequency in which I intend to drink said instant coffee) was rather prohibitive, so I started with Maxwell house and Folgers, the ol' standby! They lacked taste and didn't quite agree with my stomach, so I finally decided to search Douwe Egberts on a whim, thinking they would be too cool for school to possibly make a lowly instant coffee. Well, they certainly do, and let me tell you it's pretty good. Instant coffee it is, but terrible it is not. Smooth enough with the right amount of water, and flavorful as well. It certainly surprised my palate, and helped me to change my preconceptions about instant coffee. Try it, I dare you.

One of he best Instant Coffees I've found
I love Douwe Egberts. I'd been using the jars but since I don't drink coffee regularly, I thought these coffee sticks would be perfect. Very convenient, can stick them in briefcase or purse to take to work or keep some in your desk drawer. The only difference for me is that I realized I was actually making my coffee stronger when using straight from the jar so I end up using 1.5 sticks to get the strength I like. Still though it was a great buy. Seller had them to me very quickly, well packed. This, to me, is one of the best instant coffees (it's also great when you can find it as brewed coffee).

Great for punching up a weak office brew
I'm not a coffee snob by any stretch, but I enjoy my morning iced latte. I finally ditched my espresso machine a few years ago when Starbucks released their line of VIA packets, as mixing those with a small amount of hot water made a good enough shot of "espresso" for my purposes. After a while, I started looking for a cheaper alternative, and I tried several different instant coffee varieties from Amazon, finally settling on this one. I typically buy it in the jar for home use, but wanted something more portable to take to work.As others have discovered, it would easily take 2-3 of these packets to equal the strength a single packet of Starbucks VIA. However, I actually prefer the flavor of these, and they still work out to be cheaper than VIA packets, especially if you do Subscribe & Save. I use them to punch up the fresh coffee brewed every morning at my office, and that works perfectly. A VIA packet would be overkill.
