One of the best TWS buds overall even in 2023
The media could not be loaded. Really good pair of Buds with unique features like Google assistant. Sure it's Hybrid foam tips aren't for all. Big ear canal like me will find it quite enjoyable. And for big eared people it doesn't even hurt after long use like many claim. It's a bit bilky in size sure but looks good in ear too with the Sony engraving. My Observations found following points about it.- People with larger ear canals won't have any issue using these. The foam tips will last long.- It's not Brain blasting loud if you are expecting that but creates a great environment of music listening- It's absolutely awesome for Podcast listening. Feels as if the person is sitting next to us.- 3d music sounds awesome in these.- Gaming also is great with these.- The Matt finish case doesn't catch scratches despite not using any case. So are the buds. They look good in mat finish.- battery life is really awesome compared to by galaxy buds pro. Also charges fast❤️- But unlike Galaxy buds which give a pop up to connect immediately after you open the lid, in this one you have to press connect (Multiple times in the Sony Connect App). I Wish they had the quick connect Samsung buds feature in Sony too.- It's not as big a case as it looks in Ads so no issues pocketing these.- for most people medium tips would be great fit.- If you want best performance create your own equalising settings for this.- Sometimes just sometimes one side bud won't connect with your phone until you Repair if you are using them in Single bud mode which I use a lot. It happens some times which is regrettable.- Regular Software Updates are received.- Great pair overall. Costly though hence not for casual listeners. Audiophiles will appreciate this one.1yr Update - I had to replace my buds due to a very bad Sony software update that fried my buds but luckily it was under warranty hence I got buds replacement and the new pair is working even better then the original ones. Something wring with the old hardware versions. Also after a lot of wait finally Sony provided MULTI POINT CONECTIVITY to connect to Two devices and switch seamlessly on the fly. The only thing that was missing earlier but now this has become perfect. I dropped all plans to change these to something else like tge new XM5s but not anymore. Definitely using these for long now. Got no complaints now. Thanks to Sony.

A worthy upgrade over pretty much any TWS headphones in the market.
I have been following the WF-1000XM4 (XM4 from here on) since their launch and was tempted to get the XM3s, but just could not get used to the way they looked. Suffice to say that I was eagerly waiting for the XM4s and almost ordered them immediately the day they launched, but I already had a competent set of earphones with fairly decent active noise cancellation (Jabra Elite Active 75t).After testing the XM4s and comparing with 75t, I am happy to say that this is a worthy upgrade and right not by far one of the best (top 3) ANC headphones in the market if not the best.Below are some of the features/pros that I feel add to the strength of XM4s.- Active Noise Cancellation- Sony claims industry leading ANC on these and it goes without saying that this claim is absolutely correct. I compared the ANC on XM4 with 75t which was a bloodbath and WH-1000XM3. The noise suppression on XM4 was even a tad bit better than HXM3 once you jam in the eartips in your ears. I cannot use the HXM3 since ANC technology on Headphones gives me migraines (anyone with Vertigo would be susceptible to that), but I look forward to long ANC sessions on XM4 since I did not feel any discomfort.- Sound quality- I thought my 75t sounded good but they now sound like boat headphones in comparison to the XM4s. The volume level is high but not high enough that it will hurt your ears, the vocals are not shrill and tear right through your eardrums, bass is good (you can make it even better with the EQ in the Sony Headphones app). Talking about EQ, while not as robust as other EQ apps out there, it will do the job fine for 99% of the people who end up purchasing these headphones. I haven't played around much with the settings yet and I don't think I will because the presets are already good enough that you don't have to do a whole lot of adjustments to make them sound even better. In addition to the above there are several other pros like the build quality, minimal packaging (recycled material), in-app features, mono headphone functionality, etc. to name a few.Moving on to some of the misses/cons which are subjective and mileage may vary:- Size and weight- These are what people would like to call, a big boi. While Sony has managed to reduce the size compared to the WF-XM3, they are still on the bigger side and heavy. If you have small ears, fitting them in might be a bit of an issue but I think that is something which can be fixed by changing the ear-plugs to smaller size and adjusting the position every time you wear them and tilting them till you find the right spot. Compared to these the 75t felt puny and light.- Earplugs- Not exactly a con, but the earplugs are memory foam. Not used to this material so there might be a curve, but something I feel I should point out.- Limited functionality within the app- This sucks because I would want to have both of these features in one earbud at the same time. If I enable the volume control on the left earbud, I lose the option to enable ANC on/off which is helpful when you have to save battery and you are sitting in a quiet room to begin with. I wish Sony does something about this.Overall, I would recommend these headphones because the pros outweighs the cons (more like minor gripes).
