THIS IS A GREAT VALUE just be sure to react the enclosed literature.
This is such a good deal I almost hate to post this rating because I plan to buy another set if available. I thoroughly read the reviews prior to buying these, especially the bad reviews, and from a structural stand point they seem to have corrected all of the problems and from a cooking point of view, if you read the information that comes with it thoroughly you will not have the stated problems in other posts.I was looking for a double boiler type of set when I ran across these. I had never really contemplated low heat cooking, I have always steamed.I read all of the information on how to cook different types of food. I was cooking Potatoes the first time out to test the process, so I followed the directions by cutting the raw potatoes in half with the exposed core facing up, placing them in a circular configuration on the bottom on their ends and the sides of the potatoes next to the side of the pans, and one in the middle so they would stand up. As described in the instructions, since I was new to the process, I put a little water in the bottom. At the same time I cooked asparagus in another pan, and broccoli and carrots in another.I then cooked it all on low heat as directed, The potatoes were perfect, so were the broccoli and carrots, the asparagus was only slightly under done because I went with the shorter time in the range. The handles are riveted to the pans with replaceable plastic inserts is that is ever needed. The lips around the edges of the tops of pans are sharp enough to cut if you grab the pan the wrong way, but I am not sure why you would as described in another post. The tops of the lids have thermometers that screw on and were sturdy and helpful when I was cooking. You do need to make sure you screw them on tightly washing them, especially if you plan to put them in a dishwasher. I hand washed them after this use. I did not see how these could break off as described in a post.It is very important to wash these before use with soapy water AND vinegar combined to avoid having a coating used in the manufacturing discolor when you cook. This was one of the complaints but was clearly stated in the literature in the box.You will be amazed at how much you get with this set.Read the literature and you will have no problems, do NOT use high heat, right out of the box, the literature explicitly indicates it could melt the bottoms which are designed to distribute the low heat to achieve the proper results. As a final note, I have always cooked with Gas but had to use these on a glass top electric the first time. The directions cover how to use both kinds and I followed the directions to a "T" to achieve my out of the box success. The only negative post I could not address is the one where the literature was missing. This would have been a huge problem. On top of that my only real disappointment was the literature did NOT describe how to stack and cook which is alluded to in the description.I highly recommend this product.

Las mejores ollas de cocina
Hace mucho tiempo quería tener una batería de cocina de acero inoxidable porque todo lo que venden ahora con recubrimiento y cosas es muy malo para la salud sé que esa me va a durar muchísimos años muy a agradecida

Great Pot set for the Value
I have had this set for about a month and so far I have absolutely no complaints. I had seen a similar product set at a "dinner" party. I'd rather pay $125 versus the $2,350 set the sales distributor from that party wanted. This set is on par with what he was offering. The meals I have cooked so far using the "waterless" method has improved the quality of the food I normally cook. This set is 12 Element, multiply (usually 5-ply) surgical stainless steel. Just because a set is steel does not mean it is made for induction cooking. I don't understand why people leave low ratings for not understanding what they were buying. And anyone that has used stainless steel knows over heating of the pot will cause discoloration or scorching. Bar Keeper's Friend is a must and do not heat higher than medium high. I don't go higher than 7 on my glass top electric range. My only gripe is the metal ring and the grader have sharp sides. No I am not a moron, I'm not talking about the grading area. The sides of it are a bit sharp and I know if I am not careful I could slice my hand.

They break!
I had very high hopes for these pots and pans and sadly, I've been disappointed. I have had this cookware for almost one year and the last usable piece broke. It started with the lids. The temperature knobs on the lids broke off very early on, leaving behind a nub of a screw. Using a potholder, I could still pick the lid up and use it though. Then the handles on the pots and pans started breaking. The handles are 70% plastic and 30% metal. The plastic breaks off leaving the metal behind, but there isn't enough metal to support the weight of the pan. The only option now is to use potholders to pick up the pot/pan directly. On a positive note, the base of the pans are incredibly sturdy but not the pan itself, and that base part is likely to last a very long time. But I will have to replace the set so I don't burn myself every time I cook.Stats: I used this set to cook on an electric stove roughly 5 nights a week for nearly a year and I wash them in the dishwasher. Have never used these in the oven (as you can with all metal pans) and because of the plastic handles I was very careful not to have the handles of the pots/pans over the heat or other burners, but they still broke. :-(
