These capsules are a great value especially when you consider that you only need to take one a day. They are small and easy to swallow. They are certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers which was founded 50 years ago (I looked them up) so seems legit. Honestly, I take these to help my liver out since I do occasionally/frequently like to imbibe. My lab values have been good the past couple years (I'm 42) so this supplement could be playing a part? Regardless, I will continue taking milk thistle as a supplement and prefer these for their potency and affordable pricing.

Previously, I've had various issues that have caused me to attempt taking milk thistle for its liver-loving benefits. Each time I took (another brand of) milk thistle, however, I never could really tell much of a difference, even after taking it for 2-3+ months. In this case, I started to feel a bit of a difference after about 3-4 weeks...and the longer I have taken it, the more benefit I have felt. Additionally, I abhor taking medications...yet, where we live now, I've had to be on OTC allergy meds (sometimes more than one!) for years...almost every day of the year! Since taking this milk thistle (whether this is the cause or not - although I did not change any other supplements during this time), I can now generally NOT take my OTC allergy meds, unless I wake and can immediately feel how bad the pressure, etc. is. I'm now taking the allergy meds perhaps once every 2-3 weeks. While I can certainly understand doubt re: whether these two are connected, I have no other explanations to offer up, as I really haven't changed anything else in that same timeframe. Additionally, my body tends to "tell me" when it's done using various supplements - and one bottle on this for what has been going on is just about right for that. In the future, if having similar issues again, I would not hesitate to purchase this product!

many reviews are stating fresh nutrition Milk Thistle is only 500mg and not 2000mg, but this isn't true... this is a potent Milk Thistle extract 4:1 ratio equivalent to 2000mg of Milk Thistle seed. this product is organic and you only take one small capsule per day. the bottle will last 4 months and i feel this to be a good value for my money. i just started taking this supplement and if i have any ill effects i will most certainly come back and update this review...

I’d say this is a great product. I am very big on natural health and natural health products and hate having to put any medications in my body. I have suffered from severe scoliosis that was discovered almost 20 years ago and have always been able to manage the pain through chiropractic care, yoga, and with the help of natural supplements like curcumin. I unfortunately was working a high stress job where I was stuck at a computer with little movement at least 8 hours a day and the pain got to a level that it was no longer manageable naturally. I stubbornly let my physical condition get pretty bad before I accepted that my body was just not meant to work a job that didn’t allow me to move around freely. My doctor had me on narcotic pain medication and muscle relaxers for a few months as I recovered from the damage and extra agitation I had caused during my 2 years at a desk. I’m thankful the medication helped me to function through the pain and recover back to a point of simple maintenance care, however, even after I had stopped taking the medication for over 2 months and gave it time to exit my system I still felt sluggish and just like something was off. I have been taking these for a month now and can happily say that I feel back to my old self again. No longer sluggish and I feel this supplement is the reason! I plan on continuing to take it because I believe it works wonders due to my experience and I know that we are unfortunately exposed to many toxions on a regular basis no matter how careful we are of what we put in our body. I would recommend this to anyone, but especially to anyone who has or is putting any known toxin in their body.

I started using this product because I was lifting weights and taking products like Natadrol and P6 black to support my muscle-building progress. To keep it simple, anything that stays in your body for a longer period of time (i.e., 24 hours), it's probably always a good idea to give your liver a bit of support.When I would search for products that increased testosterone (yes, women need it, too!), I noticed that it was always recommended to take something for the liver post-cycle. Mind you, I never took anything methylated, just products like P6 black and P6 red, and even Natadrol (I used 1/4 the dose). Even though the products I used were for just a tad bit of help and were considerably mild, I was still mindful of my liver. I didn't want to damage my liver in simply because I wanted to build more muscle.I felt like this product really did help support my liver to do its intended job - and I have purchased many, many bottles! I can't say that I "believe" in detox because that actually IS the liver's job, but what I do know is that it can become overwhelmed, especially with all the normal things (i.e., products, medication, other supplements, etc) we use on a daily basis. I appreciate that it doesn't have any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives - and it is nonGMO! It provides a really powerful dose to help support my liver, and I appreciate that it's organic, too.Having used this product for quite some time, I do recommend it if you feel you need extra liver support.
