Better than pan frying or baking
I purchased the Power Air Fryer XL kind of on a whim. I watched the infomercial and I was hooked. When it came, it was a bit intimidating, but after reading the instructions, the recipe book, and watching some youtube videos I felt I had a handle on it.It's very easy to use once you get a handle on the menu button. There are preset time/temp for certain foods or you can manually set the time and temp. I've fixed mostly chicken (legs, thighs, breasts, wings) and the key is turning the chicken. The first time I air fried the chicken, I didn't turn it, and the coating was odd. The next time, I turned it about every 10 minutes or so and it was perfect. It saves on oil and time cleaning up the mess. We made chicken wings and they were better than a deep fryer and/or oven. They were awesome. Here are the things we noticed that you might want to be aware of 1) when air frying something with a lot of fat (thighs, ect) the unit will smoke. You just have to pull out the basket, drain the grease and put it back in. It's a pain, but the results are awesome. We made a batch of thighs and had to drain the grease twice, we made a batch of legs and didn't have to drain it at all. 2) you will need to season your meat more. Since you are getting the flavor from the oil, the "taste" of whatever your air frying might be a little bland. We just use more seasonings and that works for us.Other than those two little issues, we love it. It's a breeze to clean and seems much faster than baking or even pan frying.

The very best air fryer
This air fryer is the best i have ever used. The basket in basket design makes all of the difference for getting food crispy. I've had this air fryer for several years and it still works great. One recommendation, remove the inner basket from the outer to toss food. It's not designed to be tossed when connected together.

Best air fryer brand!
OK, I have a smaller one and now I have the bigger one. The bigger one …1700 W, Is the one I am reviewing. I absolutely love it. The main thing about power air fryer, or the ones that I own is that the basket is separate from the pan that makes it very easy to take apart and clean. I can also put the pan and basket in the dishwasher. That is very helpful.I have turned into a very lazy cook. I bake biscuits in this and cook bacon, fried potatoes. Anything I can think of that might work I will try it. It’s also great for reheating things like pizza. But truthfully, if you want a good brand of air fryer go with Power. I can’t say enough nice things about them.

Finally in color!
It's a dark red. For me it looks better in person. Don't expect the typical orange red from other kitchen productsThis is my third airfryer (same one) in 8 years. The firs one lasted a long time with a daily usage. I only replaced the basket at its fourth year. Then I got anther one (divorce) and the basket lasted one year. I don't know if it happened because I put it in the dishwasher many times. I replaced the basket but one year later the black tray that holds the basket and the liquid got bad too and replacing both was almost the same price. The replaced basket got bad again. I thought that getting a new airfryer was a better option. I don't use the airfryer as much as used to. But know I decided to leave the basket and the tray soaking overnight and hand-wash the next day. Not happy about that, but in can't keep buying airftyers every 3 years. In between I tired a Ninja Speeadi something and I couldn't deal with it. I gave that to someone. I used it 3 times. This one I like it more. The issue is the basket coating. I hope the company works on the quality. Keep you posted.

Power XL Power Air Fryer
I love the Power XL Power Air Fryer. I find it works really well for economically preparing meals. Cooking times are shorter than using my standard convection oven, and food comes out looking and tasting great. I highly recommend this product.

Tasty and moist food, easy to use
Very easy to use. A plethora of recipes online. Cookbook had a number of very interesting recipes. The sandwich section was of particular interest. Clean up was a snap. Foot print (area used by cooker) is fairly small compared to the big George that I'm replacing with this unit. I like the 5.3 quart size sine it will hold a medium size chicken or a turkey breast. The food that we've cooked so far in it came out moist, tasty and was done much quicker than the oven.
