Solid AiMesh
I added this to my AIMesh work and signal is solid. I have extended my home network without. I Have not had any issues since setup. Highly recommend this as a budget router for a small home or as a add on for a mesh work.It has a max of 25 devices and does not have a USB port. It also lacks 2.5Gbe port if that’s important to you. Overall it’s not the cheapest but a great budget high end wifi 6 router.

Good value work great
I have been using it as an add on mesh to my ASUS ROG rapture router. Works perfectly and has extended the wifi considerably. I have a cat5e cable from the ROG to this ax55 so its hardlined in. I have the ASUS app already so adding this on in the mode I wanted was fairly simple.

Ok router purchase.
I've had problems with my camera and I haven't tried reconnecting my wifi light switch again. But I haven't had any disconnecting from my cameras in a few days after some troubleshooting. It was disconnecting everyday around a certain time or every few hours. After some Google searching. I found a solution that seems to work.Big value for a 2 year old router. The price of a regular router basically.I wasn't expecting any speed boosts but this slightly loads certain things faster due to Wifi 6.

Great wifi extender and aimesh
Great purchase if you're wanting to do and ai mesh and extend your wifi. Pretty easy setup if you already have an Asus router, just go to your ai mesh on your existing router and click add. Some reviewers mentioned it doesn't support 2.4ghz but when you add it to an aimesh it does. I have 2.4ghz security cameras and smart locks connecting on my wifi at 2.4 through this router.

this product was defective out of the box
this product was defective out of the box ..... it never connected to home internet modem with a hardwire cat6 connection. The Cat6 has been in place for over 7 years and 3 years ago we decided to upgrade our upstairs TV to Roku from just watching Netflix and other internet options. The Roku hardwire has worked great. We are adding a TV in another upstairs bedroom. So we decided to get a wireless router to expand the use of the Cat6 to include the current Roku via one of the hardwired pass thru ports and use the WiFi for the new Roku in the bedroom . The router was a complete waste of time to move furniture and get behind stands to connect the electrical and plug in the new Cat6 from router to Roku and connect the hardwire internet to the wireless router. It never connected the Roku via hardwire pass thru nor wireless. But it did for about 5 minutes connect the new bedroom Roku unit via wireless via the new router, then it lost connection.A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME FROM LOOKING AT THIS COMPANIES PRODUCTS ON AMAZON TO OPENING THE BOX AND READING THE SINGLE PAGE OF USELESS INSTRUCTIONS TO REBOOTING THE HOME MODEM TO RESTARTING THE ROKU TO FINALLY GIVING UP AND THEN HAVING THE RESTART THE RELIABLE HARDWIRED CONNECTION THE CURRENT ROKU UNIT.A COMPLETE WASTE OF SEARCH TIME AND PRODUCT SELECTION AND EVEN JUST OPENING THE BOX ..... AND NOW I HAVE TO INVEST TIME TO DRIVE OUT TO UPS TO RETURN A $65 PIECE OF JUNK.DONT BUY THIS COMPANIES PRODUCTS! AMAZON SHOULD REMOVE THEM AS A VENDOR. HAS GIVEN AMAZON A BLACK EYE FROM MY PERSPECTIVE!

It works and no issues.
If you want to set up the wireless mesh wifi just be sure they are actually next to each other when you set it up.

Quality and performance at a budget price
I have optimum as my service provider and decided to purchase my own modem and router to save the $10/month optimum charges for leasing. Priorities were to increase internet security and maintain if not improve HD 4K streaming experience for a 3400 sq ft area utilizing my modest optimum 200 mbps plan. The Asus RT AX 55 AX 1800 router speed is overkill for my plan but the 802.11ax additional security, ease to customize settings, complete home area coverage and future compatibility insurance at a modest $81 cost (renewal router on Amazon) met all my priorities. The many detailed reviews made it a easy decision.
