Turner Watercolor Paint Set - Design Gouache Premier Opaque Watercolor Paint - 25 ml Tubes - Set of 18 Assorted Colors

While I'm new to gouache, I have tried some cheaper brands from my local craft store that made me wonder if gouache was the right medium for me. They were separated and not smooth and creamy with pigment that was lacking. These, however, are beautifully opaque and a pleasure to work with. I've found that just by adding a touch of this gouache with a touch of water, they go on smoothly and cover really well. They are highly pigmented in a great variety of colors that mix well to create even more colors. The tubes are huge and will last me a long time.I've dispensed a little of each color into an empty tin watercolor palette. While they are drying up in there, they come right back to life with a little bit of water. This is the perfect way to take them on the go!IMO, these are fantastic for beginners - a great value for the money. I'm really glad I purchased them.

Glad I upgraded to Turner design gouache from himi. It's so opaque, creamy and vibrant, even the lighter colors like yellow and white are very opaque. They're a joy to work with. This was my first painting ever with artist grade gouache. I will continue to purchase these. It's a very affordable set with many colors. I like their acrylic gouache too so I'm glad I tried these as well!

I am taking an online class and the teacher uses Turner Design so I bought these for the class. I like tradition water color and I also like layercake paint by Jane Davenport. I find these gouche paint to be much like layercakes with better control because these a water. Once dry you can reactivate with water. Colors are opaque and creamy to paint with. I am a mixed media artist. I think I found my new favorite medium!

Turner gouache has a lovely velvet finish. Most of the colors can be either transparent to fully opaque depending on how applied. It plays nicely with regular watercolors. You can paint light over dark. The colors re-hydrate nicely. They are very intense and lovely. The colors included in the 18 set cover 99% of what I can imagine I would ever need-will try to buy an ultramarine to make better greys. I rarely use black watercolor but the black in this set was wonderful on 300# paper. I don't normally use such heavy paper and have not tried on normal weight watercolor papers. It seems a good deal pricewise given the size of the tubes.

The media could not be loaded. For me, they're a excellent gouaches! So creamier, very easy to work with it! I love the way they're performance, very smooth! I like this gouche a lot! They are available open stuck too. It's a shame I can't buy it here, on Amazon, because it's not available for my location anymore 😔 but recommend it!

I watched a favorite youtube artist who recommended this gouche. I have had it in the palette for a month and sprayed it with a mist before and after each use and it is still working great. I would recommend this gouache watercolor.

I like the colors, and the price is great for such a large set of colors. Other than that it's mostly a disappointment. The first box I got the colors were SO separated, huge globs of clear liquid running out everywhere and from every tube. So I exchanged it and while the second box is better, some colors were still separated. I attached pictures to show how some of them were before mixing.This gouache is also VERY runny right out of the tube. Several times way more came out than I wanted. A little bit of water made very liquidy, like using it for a wash was the only option. Compared to other brands, it was thinner, felt like it lifted way too easy for layering, and I found myself using a ton of paint. I thought about returning it, but it's inexpensive so i'll keep it for practicing but won't be buying again.
