Failed stainless kickstarter, switched us to rhos $10 plaztic model? Anyone know why amazin is supporting?

It seems to me that when I agreed to join in support of this wonderful idea, I kicked in about $70.  Then they came back to me and told me that the money was all gone and then needed some more.  I sent them $25 more.  So, my wonderful all stainless model with a thermometer and a bottom that comes off, has set me back just shy of $100.  That was 3 or 4 years ago.  I have yet to use it.  It is sitting in the same spot today that it found the day it came out of its wrapping.  If I use it, I give in.  I thought I was too aware to be suckered into a scheme like this one.  I have to admit that I paid nearly $100 for a coffee press that wasn't gold plated and contained no diamonds.  I am so thankful that no one I know knows what I did.  If I don't use it, maybe the ownership won't pass and I can still tell myself that I almost took the bait.  It is the only salvation I have.  In the meantime, my coffee comes out of a machine that says Hamilton Beach on the front.  Someday I'll find a new interest in coffee but, in the meantime, no coffee presses for me.

Is this the same company on Kickstarted?  If so, this company owes many of us that purchased this product a year ago & we still haven't received it.

This is the same company, and they have abandoned both of their Indiegogo campaigns. They haven’t posted an update there in 3 months, and haven’t responded to comments in a month. They ignore all emails sent to them. Based on how they handle their crowdsourcing, I wouldn’t trust any French press from them to properly fill the packaging let alone make coffee.

Question 3

I received several defective units. What's your warranty on defects?

Hi, we're sorry to see this.  We don't have any defects reported in so far.  Please return the unit to Amazon and we will be happy to replace the units.  We have a 90 warranty against manufacturer defects.

Question 4

How come this product has stainless steel components that work when this company told its backers it was having problems securing quality components?

Accepted Answer

The Rod in the Essential + is Stainless Steel the filter in Stainless Steel mesh and Tritan plastic, it is not the same as the filter parts on any other Rite Product.
