Great banneton.
This is the best banneton. Sourdough never sticks to it and it preps the bread so it comes out of the oven with a beautifully crisp crust.

Excellent, durable product!
I bought two Bulka (plain, 8 inch round) bannetons in January and have made several loaves of my sourdough bread with them. I was concerned that the material might not be durable or resistant to the low-level moisture of rising dough, but I shouldn't have worried. They have been completely up to the task without showing any kind of wear! They are perfect for my needs!

Bulka is simply the Best!!
After baking bread for many years, I finally found the perfect bread proofing basket!! The Bulka Banneton bread proofing basket is by far the best I have ever used!! I now have 3 of them, and I will use my new ones along with my well used original to make multiple loaves at a time.I will, and have been, recommending Bulka to all my baking family and friends.

Great banneton bowls.
I saw these used on an Instagram page and thought I would try them. I love that they are all natural. I got the Bulka Large Round 9" 1kg Groove Banneton ones. I use them for my sourdough bread making. I like that they don’t use a liner and the bread doesn’t stick to the sides and bottom of it. Bread Proofing Basket Pressed Wood Pulp, Sourdough Proofing Basket - Non-Stick Bread Proofing Bowl Sourdough Bread. I love the design on the bread from the bowl. I also like supporting a small company. Great idea and a great job. I bought the round one and the oblong one and they both have lasted great.

Recently purchased this for my sourdough making and I love it! Previously had one that came in a kit…this one is so much better! Well worth the money!

Think this needs 5-7 more coats of tung oil?
I purchased this dough bowl in hopes of circumventing spending more than $100 dollars on a wood dough kneading bowl. However, upon receiving, the bowl is not intended for kneading, only rising dough! Doh! Any water will likely immediately deteriorate the bowl integrity! From all of the other reviews stating the product becomes flimsy after contact with water, think this bowl needs 5-7 more coats of tung oil!Upon receiving, I immediately applied 1-2 coats of Real Milk Paint tung oil. I noticed the back of the bowl immediately absorbed thick coats of tung oil, while the top exhibited slower absorption. My guess, there might be one coat at most of tung oil on the back, if any. The top/inside of the bowl might have 1-2 coats of some moisture resistant coating, likely some sort of tung oil. After applying 5-7 (or more) coats of thick tung oil and letting dry for about two weeks, the bowl is obviously extremely more sturdy, almost like a ceramic/clay type bowl. I'm still letting the bowl dry prior to it's first use, for another two weeks or so. Hopefully the bowl will become extremely sturdy, and be able to handle some kneading inside the bowl. Shrugs.NOTE: This bowl is not intended for use as a dough kneading bowl!

Best of the Best
Fabulous Banneton. Have always before used rattan with linen liner for my sourdough. Have been reading about the woodpulp ones from Germany and so many leaders in sourdough recommend them. Decided to make the splurge and it was so worth it. A simple light sprinkle of rice flour. Bread does not stick, releases easily. Simple to clean just let dry and brush it out. Will get several more shapes and sizes. I am a believer.
