Works as expected

It was easy to find installation directions online. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN nuts or you could crack the fixture. My advice is to replace the water line that feeds the fixture, from the wall, at the same time.

this is a second upgrade on a toilet 27 years old

It looked exactly like the one I needed, but found out that it had to match the exact Kohler toilet. I had to return it.

New unit sets to high and the toilet lid inter-fears with new style handle and toilet runs setting water to high. Had to shim up tank lid to make it work. This was a waranty relacement unit for a 501-B. We are just going to buy another toilet.Ours is over 25 yrs old and probably limed up badly, no problems with sloan they did try to remedy it at no cost.

Exactly what I ordered. Works great

I had ordered the incorrect version Model #M-101526-F31 which came with the 2 gaskets and it was not for the Kohler 8044 toilet. Returned that and Ordered this and when I went to install it the gaskets were either missing or not included for this specific Model. That is NOT THE TIME to find that out when you have the toilet completely disassembled!! FORCED to use the gaskets (at least 20+ years old) to put it back together. Now I'm concerned that I am at risk of leak developing so I have take it apart again to replace the old gaskets. If you aren't going to include them on the "SPECIAL Kohler 8044" version then call it out in the description. And this failure is on Sloan, not Amazon. If that's the way they do business, steer clear of Flushmate equipped toilets. Also, its deafening when you flush and can hear it throughout the house so that can be annoying when others are sleeping. I am a huge fan of all Kohler products but this isn't what you want for a residential usage. Will just replace the toilet next remodel. BTW, you can't retrofit this with a basic tank/ball float $20 kit like the average residential toilet. Normally I would blow this off but I wasted hours screwing around with this. After a long search I found a gasket/nut kit (can't buy the gaskets alone in seems) which is Part # BP200108-1 Installation Pack Large. $7.25 current price and $12.00 shipping as of 12/5/21 (not available Amazon Prime).

Received broken! Did not return because I made a mistake in ordering the first one and returned it and was charged 50% of its cost, and followed the instructions as presented! Will change the whole toilet out the next time!
