Q: I have fine hair and although it is curled when I first take it out, the curls drop out within an hour even when I use my good hairspray. Any advice?

I would dampen your hair slightly, then run either a curl cream with hold, or a light gel (you can Google what would be best for fine hair) through your hair, before putting it in to the octopus. The next morning when you take it out, it might be a bit crunchy, so just scrunch it out, and then tadahh, you should have better hold. This is what I used to do when I was a teenager and ragged my hair.

Q: Does this item come packaged in a box with instructions? I want to buy it as a gift but it looks so random that the recipient won't know what it is!

Item came in a plastic bag. No instruction you would need to explain what it is . but easy to use with good results

Q: Can you sleep on your side comfortably ?

Only if you have a tiny head! It doesn’t fit my 12yr old daughter. In theory if it was big enough (or expandable) it would be fine to sleep in.
