My senior shih tzu was diagnosed with heart murmur. A few drops of this a couple times a week seems to lessen his cough (caused by fluid build up around lungs and common with congestive heart failure) and also makes him more lively but not in a way to cause concern. Even though our pets must one day cross the rainbow bridge, extending their lives and helping them live as comfortably and healthy as possible in their senior years can be challenging and costly. This is a fantastic and safe produce that is well worth the money if your dog has been diagnosed with CHF or murmur.

A really good product for my "senior cat," at age 15. She was throwing up and looking more like an "old cat," but after using this product her appetite improved, and she is looking (and acting) more like her former self!! This is my second bottle, and will keep on using it. I put about a half dropper on her wet food, and it MUST taste good, as she always licks that off first!! Made a real difference in her quality of life. Recommended for anyone with a "senior."

I ordered Animals' Apawthecary Senior Blend for my 10 yr. old kitty. She has a chronic condition that flares occasionally due to carrying the feline herpes virus. I used to give her L-lysine powder to keep it under control, but decided to try this product because it supports the immune system. I've been adding it to her food for a while now, and it was an easy transition for her. It doesn't have an unpleasant smell and the taste isn't overpowering. I would say it has a neutral flavor...I did taste it myself. I am pleased it is helping to keep her in good health. I do plan to continue using this product in the future.

I have used this and other products by this company for over 25 years for many of my older cats. Love their products. Their Tinkle Tonic is amazing also.

This is terrific stuff. I have used this and the Phytomucil by this same company for my dog after a severe liver scare along with stomach ulcers. Once we started with this treatment he has appeared to feel much better with no obvious symptoms. He occasionally still has an acidic tummy, which we give him an antacid for, but other than that he appears happy and healthy for an old boy of 14 years. I don't know what we would do without Animal Essentials. Besides, how can you go wring with a name like Apawthecary!

Our small 13 yr old dog was having issues being very restless at night. He was waking us up three and four times a night to go outside and for no reason at all. Now he's consistently been sleeping through the night. He's also been much calmer in general ( he has always suffered from anxiety). I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I usually like Apawcathary products, but was unhappy to find that this one, listed as 'for cats', contains garlic. I'm sure it's in very small quantities, but garlic is toxic to cats and I, like my holistic vet, just can't understand why they would find the need to put it in, and then label it for cats.Not happy that I went through a fair amount before I realized. Maybe they've changed it now, but that item was not indicated on the page when I bought the product, let alone clearly pointed out. Read your labels before cracking the bottle.
