Wow...Killer Wavemaker!
The media could not be loaded. It's just day one after installing the W-40, but I'm super impressed to this point. I've got a 180 gallon, six foot tank, and running it on 40% power, it's more than enough movement for what I'm looking for. It's kicken up the detritus and moving it to my two FX6 intakes. Anxious to see how much cleaner the water looks after it runs a few days. It's whisper quiet too. Also, I did notice that if it's to close to the surface, it will cyclone the surface and you can actually hear it sucking. This happened at 40% and I had to drop it a few more inches from the surface to get that suction noise to stop.I researched and studied for a few weeks before I made this purchase. I'll bet I looked at roughly 50 or more wavemakers and am glad I got this one! The price was also a huge bonus in my mind! Can't go wrong with this one imho.I am beyond happy at this point and will update this review after it's had a chance to run a few weeks.

Moves a ton of water!
Used in a 125g with some sand. Pushed so much water it dug up my substrate! Has a controller with a few presets so that’s cool. Definitely too big for my tank. Easy instructions for instillation and built strong with thick cabling. No added noise besides the water flowing sounds.

WOW!
I bought 2 of these for may 200gal Saltwater Tank 3-4 years ago. I have never cleaned them and they are still going strong. They are powerful so choose wisely. Great product!!Edit: It has been over 5 years now. Still going strong and still never been cleaned. I think it moves so much water it pretty much cleans itself.

3 years and still going strong
I’ve had this running for 3-4 years non stop first in a 125 mixed reef and then in a 210. Crazy powerful. Never cleaned or maintained it, about to buy a replacement just because this has lived a good life and by now it’s gotta be leeching something into the tank. I use the wave mode constantly, even when lights are off fish don’t seem to mind they find a rock to sleep in. Great buy and value.

Buy the size they suggest on the lower end
I love this wave maker! It does exactly what it says it will do. The features are awesome! It even stays programmed if power goes out which is perfect for me because I have it on a socket timer so at night it shuts off so my cichlids can rest then comes back on in morning. It is strong in fact I bought the one from 100-300 gallon and I have a 125 gallon tank. It is too strong for my tank, however all I did was baffle it with filter media and it works just fine now.

way too strong for my 90 gallon
I got this for my freshwater 90 gallon as there were dead spots and I wanted more circulation. Well let me just say it is WAY too much power for my 90. On low my fish looked like they were in a hurricane LOL. It was quiet and the mounting magnets were PLENTY strong enough to hold it on, build quality seemed good as well. However the controller left a lot to be desired. I personally would like a dial for the power like this one has for the frequency, and being able to go from zero to full power on that dial. If it had that I would have kept it but sent it back instead. The intake openings are also pretty large so small fish and potentially snails and other small creatures will likely be turned into an emulsion without some panty hose or something over the openings.
