This really works for me
I have extremely bad neck and shoulder pain due to spine issues and needed something to help with muscle tension/pain in between my therapy sessions and this does the trick. As others have stated, the balls are stable and don't move. This product is designed for trigger point therapy in which you apply pressure to the area until the tension releases. You control how much pressure you apply. You can gently twist or slightly move the handles in/out for a "kneading" massage sensation while applying pressure. The handles have finger grips - if you use it with the finger grips facing up it works great for the neck area; if you use it with the finger grips facing down it works better for the shoulder area on either side of and below the neck. A quick 5-10 minute massage in these target areas works great for me to loosen things up and reduce my pain so I can continue on with my day. For me, this was worth every penny!

One of the most useful massagers made
Almost every low review for this product was based on people having the wrong perception of what they were getting. This uses static pressure to help knots release. It does not glide, you do not rub with it. You leverage the rubber balls together to squeeze your tight muscles into submission. It works great for all the muscles on the side of the neck, SCM, scalenes, traps, levator scap, and even the suboccipitals and other muscles on the rear. It's harder to use on your own shoulder, but not too bad when you lean against a chair. I've used it right above my knee joint and on my calves. The plastic seems pretty sturdy and durable, and meant to withstand all the bending. But I've only had it a short time. I use a theracane often for my knots, but for neck issues I much prefer this. You get even bilateral pressure. And since you only have to squeeze the handles together to create leverage, it's much easier than a theracane (which requires a lot of work on create your own leverage). In short, this is the best thing I've found for people who don't benefit from the weaksauce shiatsu or vibrational massagers.

Works well, easy to use. Recommend this product to those with a sore neck.
Fast shipper. Product works very well. My sore neck muscles are greatly relieved by the use of this massager. It mainly works the mid to upper part of your neck--the bottom of your neck is difficult to adjust the size for. I tried using it on my shoulder but couldn't get it to fit. The only reason it is not 5 stars is the ball material is a little "sticky" and pulls my hair if I don't have it completely out of the way (which is difficult in the neck area). I use this almost every night and sometimes in the morning. Big difference. I do recommend this product.

AMAZING.
This is seriously a life saver. I’ve had neck and back problems for all of my adult life and I have to get frequent massages and see my chiropractor. Massages are pricey and I can’t afford to go as often as I’d like, and this thing has finally given me some hope and pain relief! I couldn’t be happier. It shipped in less than a day. I’ve had it for 24 hours and I’ve already used it 3 times with a topical pain relief lotion and I’m seriously on cloud 9. You can control the pressure of how hard/soft you want on your neck. It’s easy to use and highly effective. I slept like a baby! (When you use, make sure to drink lots of water so flush away the toxins) 😊 I cant believe a product like this exists and it’s so easy and inexpensive. This will save me on neck massages for sure.

So I really do enjoy the idea of giving myself my really deep neck ...
So I really do enjoy the idea of giving myself my really deep neck massage, since I can't get anyone to stand around me all day and do it. This thing sounded amazing. In actual use? It's pretty good - it definitely massages the parts you can get it to sit at on your neck, so the sides of your neck have it good. But two main problems. I get a lot of tension pain along the center of my neck and into the skull, in that divot there. This thing really can't get in there unless you rotate it and jam the nub up in there. Which...is weird, lol, and now you could pretty much do that with anything, like a golf ball, so this isn't doing anything special for that. Ok, and the part I dislike the most. So using it, you do tend to want to use it in a rotating motion so it's not just kinda wedging in these numbs, but rubbing your neck like thumbs would....but by using that motion, it bends it in that back-center area (the plastic above the nubs in the product picture), so when you're done and you look at the product, one side is now warped to be higher and one side is now lower.....the product remains slightly twisted. So now, it no longer is perfectly balanced at the same point on both sides of the next, and also the plastic feels like, in time, it could eventually snap. So....it has its good uses, but it also has some drawbacks. I like it....just don't love it.

Headache game changer
I’m a full time production potter leaning over my pottery wheel or work counter all day which puts a lot of stress on my neck to hold up this big melon of mine. This tool has been a game changer for relieving neck stress and headaches caused by neck stress throughout the day. I highly recommend this tool! Keep it at hand and use it throughout the day as you start to find your neck and shoulder tension building.

Does not work on shoulders, but there is a slight chance it will work for those with knots in their neck.
Bought the LuxFit Neck and Shoulder Massager with the intention of working out work related upper shoulder knots. Unfortunately, the handles are not long enough to position the device in a manner that will allow the rubber balls to hit most parts of the shoulder. The tension on the product is great, but the rubber texture to the balls does not allow the user to slide and position the spheres into the desired location on your neck or shoulder without causing a great deal a pain/friction. While this device will apply good pressure to trigger points on the neck, you cannot use it to "massage" a knot unless you are solely trying to apply pressure to a specific trigger point. The upfront cost is not worth the effort to return. I'm going to try to reallocate the device to use as a temple massager (for the few points on my head it can actually hit) and call it a cheap lesson learned. I'm not recommending to avoid this product in the event you truly have knots in the trunk of your neck, but will advise others hoping to use this on your shoulder to save the money and apply towards a masseuse.
