I bought this for full price and am not receiving any compensation for my review.This is for my 2024 BMW M440i with the professional driving assistance package. So there are a number of sensors and a camera already at the top center of the windshield. It is hidden by the rear view mirror but it means any camera I installed, would be offset about 8" from center and sit in the driver's or passenger's view. I really liked the concept for the Fitcamx being integrated in the housing so it is not visible from inside the car and appears factory from the outside.Also, and sometimes people forget this, it is an area cleared by the windshield wipers. Odds are you will need your camera more often in the rain so this is very important. I have seen accident videos where you cannot make out anything because the windshield is covered in rain or snow etc..Excellent pre and post sales service. I ordered the wrong model but their support team contacted me to verify fitment within an hour of placing my order. I assume that is standard practice. They corrected my order and sent it out quickly. I ordered the cam on April 24th 2024, and the estimated delivery was May 2-10. I received it May 1st 2024.The front camera took maybe 10 minutes to install. I have a lot of experience working on cars and also watched a YT video before installing the front camera which helps, but it was still very easy. I already have trim tools so I used mine, but the included trim tool would work perfectly.The camera and cables appear to be high quality. The trim is not quite OEM quality but you cannot tell from inside or outside of the car. It is only when you handle it you can feel it is slightly less rigid but still not flimsy. I had no concerns about breaking anything during installation. The same trim pieces from BMW would cost twice what this kit costs so still a bargain.The picture quality is very good. There is an exposure adjustment but out of the box it was perfect. As a test I drove my car from a very bright sunny location into my dark garage. The camera adjusted immediately. I have had other dash cams that take several seconds to adjust and that could be critical lapse in video.The app works perfectly on my S24 Ultra. It was easy to connect to the camera and makes adjustments to the settings. I was able to log in and immediately watch the videos.I ordered the front and rear kit but have not installed the rear camera yet. I will install the rear camera on a weekend. After watching a video on how to properly route the wire for the rear camera, I estimate it will take maybe an hour to install the rear camera. I will update my review after I try it.Overall an easy 5 star review. I will update my review after I install the rear camera and/or if anything changes.

The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately, mine spends most of its time recording my dark garage since it stays on constantly even when my car is off and locked. Seems to be a problem with Electric vehicles. I love the OEM look of it, but not sure I want to keep draining my battery constantly.

Best designed dash cam is when it disappears from view and no one even notices the aftermarket electronics. The Fitcamx cameras fit well, install easily and require no complicated wiring to install. Running the wire to the rear did require some effort, but easily completed the whole install in under 90 minutes.

I have had 3 BMW’s and purchased this for all 3. The first one was for a BMW X3. Fit perfectly and looked factory. The second one purchased for a 4 series and it did not fit. The company refunded me but I was disappointed. For my latest BMW I ordered this camera again and it fits perfectly. It looks factory, easy to use and great picture quality. Just make sure you order the correct version.

I had originally bought a different dashcam, but when I went to install it in my I4, it looked to be a hassle to run the power wire. I found the fitcamx and bought it. Installation was super simple and only took about 15 mins.

I wanted to like this product, but it feels like the cam is stuck in a time capsule. The concept is promising, but the execution? Not so much. Here's the breakdown:First off, the "how-to" video is unhelpful. It's shot from one angle with barely any real instruction. DIY enthusiasts like me need more than vague visuals to get this set up properly.Then there’s the customer service—delayed responses from overseas make every small issue feel like a major ordeal. Not exactly confidence-inspiring when you need quick support.One of the biggest letdowns is the incompatibility with CarPlay. You can’t use both at the same time, which feels like a major oversight. And the camera only works if you manually turn it on. Forget to do that, and you’ve got yourself a useless dashboard ornament.The WiFi connection and app are clunky at best. Syncing your footage feels like a scavenger hunt, and there’s no cloud storage. Instead, you’re stuck uploading data from a memory card. Who has the patience for that in this day and age?This product should be seamless—it’s a car cam, not a science project. Instead, it feels like a half-baked idea that would’ve been revolutionary… in 2013.If you're looking for something sleek, modern, and headache-free, this isn't it. Two stars for the potential, but I can’t recommend this in its current state.
