Couldn’t live without

Purchased these for my Granddaughter for tinnitus as a result of military service. Gives great relief at bedtime or nap time.

It's lightweight, portable, easy to use, and doesn't die in the middle of night because it's thankfully not battery operated. Of the six sounds I only use one because they don't really sound like the noises they are representing... not 100% maybe 60%. If I hadn't read what they were, I couldn't guess and get it right the first time but I'll be in the ballpark. But it's also not too bad, the point is it's a white noise machine with an adjustable dial. I specifically wanted a dial rather than a button so I can finely control the volume and not suddenly jump from quiet to loud. I also wanted a machine I can plug in so it can go all night. It meets both my requirements. A little bonus is that it has a timer for people that prefer that. I've never used it because I want it to keep going for as long as baby is asleep.

We have used this machine for 3 months since our daughter was born and came home from the hospital. We like the various sounds and change them from time to time to give her different sounds to sleep by. She has been sleeping through the night, or at least 6 hours or so, continuously since she was about 2 months old. She generally sleep to the white noise sound or the rain sound, and sometimes we put the waves sound on. It helps her to sleep through other little sounds like the door opening and closing, brushing teeth, or using the restroom. The volume knob is excellent! I don't like the preset sounds level even if they are changeable. The analog style adjustment is far superior. We absolutely recommend this product to everyone we know that has a very small child or is infant. My wife even claims it helps her to sleep better since she used to like having the TV on to fall asleep. We leave the unit on all night and have not used the timer settings.

So to be fair, this unit was great until it broke. Sound machine was excellent, sound options were nice and the color of the unit is spot on with the pictures. Unfortunately, after maybe a month of use I unplugged the unit to move it to a different room. The plug that inserts into the unit completely broke off inside the unit when I did so (exposing wires and all) and it wasn't stuck in there or anything. I didn't pull hard, it literally just broke off. I have contacted the seller to see if they will replace the unit.Edit - Never heard back from the seller about my issue with this machine. I had to throw it out.

It's our first night with our Wave Baby sound machine and I can already tell we are going to love it! Our baby is 3 months old and loves the sound of rain but I was tired of using my phone and being tied up. I had a hard time finding a sound machine with rain until I came across this on Amazon. Not only was the price great but so were the reviews and features. I like that we have the option to stand it up or lay it down depending on space, as well as plug in the phone if need be. The sleep timer is a nice feature but we let ours run all night so for us, it doesn't get used much. I really can't think of a reason to not like it!!! I definitely give it 5 stars!

Noises not as real life sounding as i hoped for. Sounds like noise is truly in a box. Finally using it at night after 5 months for 5 month old. There’s residual noise almost sounds like very light whistling through baby monitor. It keeps me up at night. You can’t hear it in babies room though. I thought it was my monitor at first but thentried my other child’s noise machine and had no issues. Too late to return. Cute design though!

I really really wanted to like this product. It functions well and the design is beautiful. However after making this purchase at 2am out pure desperation, it is not what I needed it to be. It is not portable so I can't take it in the car with me as my child screams bloody murder, also the sounds were clear, but there wasn't enough of them. My kid apparently likes the sound of a bathroom shower but heaven forbid I try to make her listen to rainfalling instead. I got her liking the ocean sounds from this machine, but then I can't just take it everywhere with me which just defeats the purpose of the whole soothing sounds thing. Also the timer feature works fine too, but the back light in the number is bright AF. So if you want something for your room or nursery that doesn't look cheaply made and can function as a night light for 15, 30, or 60 minutes, this is a your sound machine. If you are trying to appease the tiny Mussolini that you have just given birth to by having something portable with LOTS of different sounds, no, just don't.
