Great Product
I use this product mainly to record my training at the gym. Excellent quality and the size is perfect for carrying in your gym bag and not bother anyone like big tripods

Joby stands behind their product!
I have used the gorilla pro griptight tripod with the panning head for 1 1/2 months. Daily as a vlogger. Its worked perfectly. However a week ago a screw and spring in the handle came loose and disappeared in the woods when I was filming. I contacted joby and they sent me replacement immediately! No charge just excellent service.

Quality build that works as described, though you will have to fiddle a bit to get a flat angle.
Overall, a solid product. The legs feel sturdy and durable, and there is a fair amount of weight to the tripod. I’ve heard complaints about the pan/tilt handle having a flimsy attachment that breaks easily, but I don’t detect any flimsiness with my one, so it’s possible that they improved that feature on more recent models. It fits my iPhone 8 Plus with room to spare, so slightly larger Android phones should also work in the mount (tablets are out of the question though). The legs are excellent at gripping around objects if you don’t have a flat surface, so it does the job in that department. The biggest downside is that there is no stabiliser to keep your camera level with the ground, so if you don’t want your shot to be at a Dutch angle, you have to fiddle around a lot with the legs until your phone is at 180 degrees. A standard tripod with straight/rigid legs obviously wouldn’t have this issue, so its a trade-off for the versatility of the GorillaPod.

Cheap
What were they thinking when they attached a metal handle into a thin piece of plastic with a screw? I really wanted to love this product because it looked like it would be great for panorama shots. But I got it out of the package and went to sweep back and forth with the handle and it broke right where the handle connects. The handle is metal and feels sturdy, but it screws into a thin piece of plastic. Broke on my very first use. Not happy.I added photos so you can see exactly the area that broke.

Flexible & Practical Small Tripod for Cellphone or Camera
Sturdy & strong, but still flexible legs to wrap around objects for the tough shot. Takes potrait & landscape pictures easily, secure tightening grips to hold your Cellphone. I like the stem handle and do not see an issue with it being weak at all, what are these guys doing, throwing it across the room?. Spin off the Cellphone holder to attach your regular camera. Very nice product, I am happy with it.!

Oops! Broken right out of the box!
Several reviewers mentioned that the stick for panning and tilting the camera is flimsy or breaks easily. Confirmed. Opened the box and found the stick laying in the plastic packaging, broken off from the tripod. How did that even happen?! Exercised Amazon's generous return/refund policy. I still like Joby and their innovative products, and I plan to buy another Joby tripod - without the stick. Hoping to post a 5-star review with my next Joby tripod purchase!

*HUGE ISSUES* with Vertical OR Landscape Shooting mode w-BIG phones = phone TILTs/SWIRLs
*** Uncontrollable Vertical Downward TILTING or Horizontal Side-to-Side SWIRLING ***=== IMHO, Joby needs to allow for centering the 'phone expansion' piece by using/creating 'a phone holder expansion grip' that moves EQUALLY outward in BOTH directions from the CENTER (not simply in one direction) . This overladens the product and absolutely nothing is balanced well (or at all!).AND perhaps, even for those of us really picky --- added Tightner Screws to prevent: a) unwanted 'downwards tilting and b) unwanted sideways panning' for our big hefty phones when holding their product in our hands -----only due to the lack of centering of the phone into THEIR phone expansion holder=======None of this is a selfish baby-gripe![Lengthy Review...]Okay, let's face it ---today's phones can be quite a bit larger than those of the past. Many are also heavier. than previous.I recently purchased the LG K51 cellphone. My older eyes appreciate the larger screen (although absolutely NO pocket in my wardrobe will). This puppy is big! (more tall than wide, but still big). And not to mention --weighty.Regarding ANY VERTICAL Shooting Mode, the issue I have found is that:1) Even when avoiding the the On/Off button on one side AND the Google Asst button on the other side......while attempting to use this setup in a Vertical Position, the phone is so weighty on 1 side that it tends to 'fall-sideways-down-towards-the-legs'.This is due to the fact that the actual phone holder only expands on 1 side outward leaving the entire scenario unbalanced.... it is unavoidable.**IF the 'actual phone expansion holder opened up towards both directions' (rather than in just one direction) ----one might be able to center the phone well enough that no tilting/falling down scenario would happen. But sadly, this is simply NOT possible here**2) Whether using in VERT or LANDSCPE shoot mode:THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT INTENDED for HANDHELD Use: selfies/roamingVidPhoning/etc.This product also seems to do better when left-alone tripod'd on a surface... BUT you will have to balance it well before beginning to video or photo with it.Anything otherwise, she seems to slowly TWIRL sideways or TILT downwards :(Any TILT or UNBALANCED or Handheld-Movement-Attempts will creates a slow Twirl/Tilting-Down of any larger phone.... no matter if using in Landscape or Vertical mode.*The product is lacking any proper tightening adjustments for that sadly (see abv comment).*Simple vid-blogging and left unmoved on a surface only!*And remember, NEVER in Vertical mode!*IMHO, you will need to find an utterly fab selfie stick AND/OR mini tripod(w-Full control of tilt & twirl) to use on both:a) A countertop, or b) Handheld.I don't know if what I thought this could do even exists, but should anyone find something close:a) perfection in a phone holder, or b) my comments incorrect -----plz let me know.I absolutely fell in love with this item online (esp due to the fluid panning swivel stick (the only way to go!)).... but'in person/in hand' this has been a total failure (w-a big hvy phone). IMHO, Joby needs to allow for centering the 'phone expansion' piece by using/creating 'an expansion' that moves outward in both directions.AND perhaps, even for those of us really picky --- an added Tightner Screw to prevent unwanted 'sideways tilting/panning' for our big phones.I don't vlog, I simply just wanted the best for: #1) handheld easier grip/smooth panning fluidity use of my phone's camera, and #2) having a tripody-thing to use if I wanted to...... I have yet to find that though sadly :(I have always loved Joby..... everything I own 'small' is joby, but due to my larger phone AND this Expansion Holder for the phone not opening-out on both sides ------this has not been 'the dream that I expected'.I know, I'm picky, I'm special..... and I truly do not know why a lot of stuff these days 'just simply lacks'.... esp for their price.I've come to only one thought after many as to why--- and sadly I quietly wonder to myself >>>> if it's not GenX or GenZ..... then what/who are these new hires that all seem to be raving-on-and-on about?!?!!! What's with the lacking/crap designs/marketing I'm seeing or my only option to buy these days?!? The best of the best ain't no longer the best!! Rocket Scientists are not req'd!!! Sometimes, the customer needs should come first eh!?####PS: Mine came all goopy w-grease so I am returning it.... and am rethinking/continuing my search :(PPS: My little panning Stick seemed strong enough for use as it came. Do not know if any diff than yrs prev. Besides, it does nothing more than twirl/pan SIDEWAYS as would a tripod use----not sure of the gripe there. BUT, it was the main reason (in addition to being Joby) that I purchased it... smooth fluidity baby!!
