I didn't know I needed
Turns out, this is the set my hair has always been waiting for.I can't believe I don't have picture examples, but I was busy living my best hair life until I ran out.Unfortunately it seems like there is very limited stock of this as it always seems to be out, but I have never had so many compliments on my hair ever.

2b/2c Low Porosity Protein Sensitive Hair, Struggling to find what works
I’m a woman in my 50’s just realizing my frizzy hair is actually 2b/2c hair. I grew up in the big hair, Aussie Scrunch era. I’ve recently started my CG journey & learning I knew nothing about my hair & trusting hair stylists to tell me what to do wasn’t wise. I first thought I was high porosity (frizz/dry). Learned I was low porosity ( clarified/ deep conditioned). Shocked to learn I was “protein sensitive”. My shower looks like a drugstore w all the products I’ve tried on my path of discovery. I saw this product & looked for a reliable review that was similar to my hair & couldn’t really find anything. I was nervous reading the reviews posted here, but knew I needed to try it. For ref: My hair is chin length, 2b/2c. I struggle with volume, get defined waves with gel, but build up is an issue. My scalp becomes itchy on day 2/3 depending on product choice. Conditioners make my hair smooth, but nothing special, shampoo just got the job done. The shampoo is a light, runny product. The smell is not a perfume, but a clean scent (masculine?) meh..not bad at all, imo. For the 1st time ever using a shampoo, I noticed a difference. Generally, I just scrub my scalp & rinse. My hair feeling a bit dry, crying for a conditioner. Not so with this. It felt luxurious! My hair seemed to expand, soaking this up. It was moisturizing & my scalp was tingling & clean. Next the conditioner. Usually I get a silky feel with a cinditioner, but my hair is flat. With this conditioner, I felt my hair absorb this & become more full & silky! I was shocked.Proof is in the pudding as they say...style & see. I used my normal styling routine for a true test. ( DevaCurl B’Leave/ Arc Angel Gel, root clip, diffuse). I normally use a volumizing foam for roots, but skipped to see if this would create volume. I’m currently on day 3 hair. No itchy scalp, defined waves/curls, amazing volume, soft waves, healthy shine. I do have some lovely grays that are also behaving. Refresh is DevaCurl Set it Free to define waves which was a must. Now? I don’t need it. This may not work for you if you aren’t protein sensitive. I realized it only because I had used a protein mask & my hair was DOA. Learn what works for you. Trial & error. For those complaining about the smell? I found it pleasant. What’s more pleasant? Hair that actually looks & feels like hair.

1 less star because of the conditioner
Shampoo works great for low porosity hair, but dang, the conditioner...uhh...very disappointed in it. I have hair almost down to my tail bone and had to use an entire handful to coat my hair (a HUGE dollop on my palm that is) and I really needed more but I was like at this rate I'll go through the bottle in one month! So I didn't put anymore. I rinsed and my hair was so tangled I knew I would have to use my leave in to get a brush thru it and sure enough, I was right! I couldn't get the brush thru it at ALL. I do have 3 leave in conditioners I use and all are fabulous. One of them is the leave in to this line and i only have to use a quarter size amount (quarter size dollop that is) and it coats my hair enough that the brush will almost instantly glide thru it. If I were you, I'd skip this rinse out conditioner and get the leave in, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ALOT OF HAIR!!!! my hair is thick too. But yeah, I'm not buying this pack again, I'm going to stick with the shampoo and leave in!

I gave it a month. It's my grail.
I wanted to give it a solid month so that I could write a truthful review. I have very strange 3A/2B hair very low porosity hair, it's a mix. Every other product I've tried, including many (most) of the products from CGM have been.. subpar. Too oily, too dry, caused hair loss. Whatever. I use nothing on my hair besides shampoo, conditioner, and maybe a leave in - no heat, air dry only. 1x per week. This stuff is the best I've found, nearly flawless. The conditioner is heavy, but easy to "plop" or just comb through. Detangling is easy. I would recommend not getting much on your scalp but that's the case with any conditioner. Even with small amounts, it does form a very light "cast" over my hair that will set the curl. It isn't crispy, just kind of.. Tight? If I use a comb, it fixes right up quickly. Leaves my hair perfectly soft. WAY, way more shiny than normal (it is usually very dull). The shampoo feels great. It has a slight medicine-y smell to it, but I find it to be pleasant and kind of natural. It isn't strong after the shower and isn't something I could see irritating most people. I have very sensitive scalp and it, honestly, is a great cleanser. Has done wonders without drying my hair out.Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who asked and even a few who don't. I've never been happy with my hair until now. Thank you for bringing this back.

Dries out my scalp but doesn't really get it clean
I wanted to love this product but I just like it okay. The shampoo dries out my scalp but somehow doesn't really get it clean which I find impressive. The only way I can stop the itchy scalp is to use a scalp shampoo which I never had to before this product. The conditioner is okay, nothing special but very lightweight which is not moisturizing enough for my fine wavy hair.I will give it credit, though, and say it's the only product I've ever used in my entire life that allows me to go from daily shampooing to every other day. If they change the formula to be better for the scalp all around, I will consider trying it again. I find it a real bummer that I have to use additional cleansers and conditioners to make this set work.
