Almost Perfect
You could probably consider this a spoiler, but I just gotta complain.I was really hoping/expecting that they would adopt a child. Wei Ying fantasized about traveling with Lan Zhan and a “little one”. He has all those domestic dreams. Surely they would find some orphan during their travels that “called out to them” (metaphorically speaking) as their future child. Right?Well, apparently not. *sigh* It’s not that I (emphasis on I) want them to have a kid, it’s that WEI YING wanted a kid. THAT’S the rub. And pranks aside, he’d make a great father. He’s the best teacher at the Cloud Recesses. He’s got so much to offer “kiddos”. It’s such a shame that he doesn’t have his own.I’m a little disappointed that none of the stories address what happened with Lan Zhan’s parents. I feel like that’s a loose thread. This story could stand to have a spin-off focused on the teenagers that stood by Wei Ying because he was good to them, even after they found out who he was. It would be an opportunity to see if Wei Ying ever managed to repair his relationship with Jiang Cheng. And hopefully Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen have managed to find women to carry on the family by that point. Unfortunately, unless there’s another danmei-worthy love interest I doubt I’ll get my wish. *huge sigh*All that being said, I greatly enjoyed this series. I liked the characters and felt that this was the most believable example of “gay for you” that I’ve ever seen. Sure, Wei Ying flirts with girls; he’s charming. But he’d never attempted anything more. He could have charmed most girls into at least a kiss, but he never even tried. Yet, one look at Lan Zhan and he had to be restrained from going over to talk. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself. And he was constantly thinking/talking about him, even when he wasn’t around. It’s not actually surprising that he fell for Lan Zhan once he started pretending to be a cut sleeve and thus acknowledged the possibility that he could be attracted to another man. I really enjoyed Heaven Official’s Blessings, but I think this is my favorite of this author’s three stories. (Now if they just had a kid…)

Must read!!
This series set me on the path of reading more Danmei. Though no other series has come close to just how fantastic this one truly is. I have read many novels and light novels and this one is so wonderful. I never thought I would enjoy romance in a book but this slow building is definitely where it is at! The story itself is so beautiful but plot lines outside of the romance is phenomenal

10/10 Chinese corn book
Very good. I have a lot of appearances to make and this is very period accurate. My favorite part was when they used wine in a way that wine usually wouldn't be used. Would read again

SWAG!
Fantastic ending to an amazing story. We get a conclusion that works for the characters and just is. Friendships and relationships may not be completely healed, but understandings have been made between brothers, mentors, and rekindling of lost memories are sparked.Mo Tiang Tong Xiu is phenomenal at closing story lines, following up and concluding questions and clues that happened chapters and even books beforehand. I consumed the entire series in a matter of 3-4 days and enjoyed the ride. Most of this book is extras that are really particularly SPICY and some are not for the faint of heart, but is so, so fun. These give a fun look into Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji's relationship and how they are with each other in private. The SWAG with this book is also super fun and adorable.

Amazing
What a great ending. Totally enjoyed this series and recommend it to anyone who loved The Untamed. The books explain so much that the series missed.

adorable
I am so very happy that we were granted Lan Zhan’s perspective. I especially loved the difference between his inner thoughts and dreams and his cold outer expression. Such well written characters!
