Effective
These ship in a flat bottle style package measuring 11 x 8 x 2 cm. There was a foil freshness seal, the Best Before End date was “02/2024”, about 18 months ahead. Each tablet is 18 x 9 x 6 mm.They are readily eaten by our dogs, no need to hide within the meal. The only problem is that with two dogs requiring two tablets per day each, gives just one month’s supply from the bottle of 120.We’ve had no tummy problems in these two dogs while they have been taking these tablets.

Tab form and don’t smell like chicken
I don’t know how much of a chicken flavour these supplements have and I’ll not be trying them either to clarify if they do.My dog does like chicken but he doesn’t seem to be too keen On these particular supplements That are in tablet form. I’ve had to crush them up and sprinkle on his food, So he doesn’t get to eat all of the tabs as I mainly feed him dry food which the crushed tabs don’t adhere as well as they would on wet foodI believe in supplements to ensure my dog is as healthy as possible. He got run over recently and had a broken pelvis. There was talk of amputating his leg, but that was not required thankfully! In fact the vet said it was a miracle to see him walking normally after a few months. I believe this is a testament to how important I find supplements. These particular supplements support the gut, digestion, healthy skin and fur amongst other beneficial support. Perfect for my little fur baby who has a really sensitive tum and regularly has an upset tum with diarrhoea and vomiting. The supplements are suitable not only for dogs, but cats too.Dosage is dependent on the animals weight. For my small dog only 1 tab per day is required. So that’s a full 4 month supply which is ok for me, but if you have large (anything up to 4 tabs per day) or multiple animals it will work out more costly.I did assume that they would be In the form of chews which my dog will always readily eat. Had I known that they were tablets I would have thought twice about ordering them. I have arthritis in my hands so it’s a bit of an effort to crush tablets.I hope you found this review helpful

Certainly not my favourites
120 Chicken Flavoured Probiotics for dogs | 2 Billion cfu with added digestive enzymes to help support your dogs digestive health and floral balance, Dog diarrhea, itchy skin, yeast infection & moreThe fosters that come through our door truly have suffered the worst of the worst by the time they are rescued. One of the side effects is that they frequently have upset stomachs, whether that is due to anxiety and stress, poor diet or underlying health conditions. In an effort to support them as best as we can we start them on a round of probiotics as soon as possible. As anything we can do might make a noticeable difference in their lives. These probiotics arrive in a flat, sturdy bottle that certainly would be able to fit through a letterbox, which is the intended purpose I assume. The tablets are small in size and quite hard, not entirely unlike a paracetamol tablet. The chicken flavour and scent is strong enough to attract our dog initially, though she soon backs away when seeing where the odour is coming from. In the past we have preferred probiotics either in powder form, or in caplet form as they are easier to administer and that still rings through today. In a pinch we would even use the 'treat' ones, but it is safe to say that this form of tablet is at the bottom of our list. There is little chance of our pup taking these without some sneaking around, hiding it in a generous spoonful of peanut butter, stuffing it in some raw meat or an egg, etc. Otherwise she will take on careful bite before spitting it out almost immediately. As far as their effectiveness it is hard to say, as we implement so many changes to our dog's lives at once it is more than likely a combination of all those factors that brings about improvement, but I do like to thing these help support the overall transformation.

Probiotic supplement for dogs
I assumed, wrongly, that these would be in the form of treats as most of these supplements are. Instead they are for all the world like a paracetamol tablet and about the same size. The only way to give them to the dogs is by crushing them in their food as they did not think the tablets were at all chicken flavoured or any other flavour come to that. Might be ok for some, the ingredients are good, but I don't need all the faff of crushing tablets as we rescue/foster dogs and cats and feeding them takes long enough as it is.

Dog won’t eat them
These come in a compact plastic tub and it’s recommended to keep them in the fridge after opening. As out dog is 10kg these would work out at one per day which is pretty economical considering they come in a pack of 120. The insurmountable obstacle though is that our dog will not willingly eat these. We’ve tried a number of probiotic products but they’ve more closely resembled treats and he’s eaten those no problem. We’ve also given him a similarly looking to this product chicken flavour tablet which was a joint supplement and he also ate those tablets with no problem. We did get him to chew have of one of these tablets but he clearly wasn’t impressed as he spat lumps onto the floor. As we don’t feet him wet food we can’t crush these up to hide them. So maybe these are a viable option if you feed wet food that you can hide them in but they don’t work for our dog.
