user unfriendly
I think alpines are designed by engineers and techs who are out of touch with average users. This was the least user-friendly device I have ever used. The sound settings were cryptic and difficult to navigate completely unintuitive. the Sirius XM interface was nonfriendly with no ability to save favorites. on start up the deck turns to radio static, I found no way for it to default to satellite radio. connecting to android auto was a process if you remote start your vehicle. you have to go into settings and follow several steps to connect. Alpine may brag about its sound quality but getting it to sound the way you want is a difficult process and after a week I was still not satisfied. The touch screen was glitchy also. I am returning this unit and I replaced it with a Kenwood, right at start-up within a few minutes, I was happy. Kenwood is way more user-friendly and intuitive and the sound quality is fantastic.
