Q: How does it track your heart rate?

I don’t think it does so I ditched it

Q: How can this show your heartbeat if you wear it on your belt??

It doesn't. You mainly just get credit for your steps when you use the clip. I only use it when I'm already wearing a watch and don't want to have two different things on my wrists, but want to keep tracking my steps in one place.

Q: Will this work for sleep tracking?

Update on this: I clip the tracker close to my heart and it will track as if it’s on my wrist. Works during workouts, normal day use and sleeping. I know in an earlier post they said it didn’t for them but it works for me.
