Adapted from Deborah Harkness’ best-selling trilogy of novels, A DISCOVER OF WITCHES is a bold and romantic thriller that uncovers a secret underworld of vampires, witches and daemons hiding in plain sight for fear of persecution by humans. Brilliant historian Diana Bishop is a witch denying her own heritage. But when she unexpectedly calls up an ancient, betwitched manuscript from Oxford’s Bodleian Library, she finds herself thrown into the heart of a dangerous mystery – and into the path of the enigmatic geneticist and vampire Matthew Clairmont. Across three distinctive and gripping seasons, Diana and Matthew’s quest to solve the mystery of the book and their own long-prophesied connection to it throws them into the path of dangerous enemies. Season 2 takes them back to the 16th century, crossing paths with historical figures Diana thought she could only dream of meeting, as she comes into her own incredible power. In season 3, Diana and Matthew must try to make scientific breakthroughs into a terrible disease that affects their own family, deal with huge loss, new beginnings, and old foes, as their journey takes them towards a thrilling and incendiary conclusion.

Love this series. No regrets.
Sadly, I have never read the Books of the All Souls Trilogy. But, I did first watched this series on Shudder as episodes were released. I really loved the first 2 seasons but tbh was left really disappointed with season 3. The 1st season is a slow burn, that leaves you on edge of your seat, I loved the character development and story line, I was intrigued and left guessing up until the end. 2nd was magical, that kept up the momentum, and I loved that it was a time period peice set in Elizabethton Era. 3rd season was just wtf?? Mostly, because Ihad wished there could have been a few more episodes, or just a little bit more substance so that the 3rd and final season hadn't felt so anticlimactic. The anticipation built for 2 seasons, only to have the series end, and not leave the impact I was expecting. It felt like it was rushed. That's the only complaint I have about A.D.O.W. With that being said, I love this series. Ive already watched it multiple times. I'm definitely not disappointed to own it now. I'm extremely happy with the box set, all disc's work perfectly and I didn't have any issues with picture quality or anything, everything about this set was perfect that's why I am still giving 5 stars. Its definitely worth it imho! Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode are chef's kiss! Overall, I am thrilled can watch "Diana and Matthew" and all the characters of A Discovery of Witches anytime I want. No regrets adding this my home collection.

Worth the wait to watch all 3 seasons at once
I watched this series on TV... well, the first 2 seasons. Then, for whatever reason, the 3rd and final season was on pay channel for Paramount + (I think). I was worried the final season would not be released on DVD, but finally it started showing up on Amazon. This really cute box set for the 3 seasons was worth the wait. The picture was crisp, sound great and story conclusion simple but complete.*Spoiler*I was expecting a smack-down, bang-up, magic fueled conclusion between Diana and Matthew and their group of witches, demons and vampires verses the Italian crew, but they ended it with civility and out maneuvered gamesmanship. Diana did get her revenge on Peter Knox, the witch who killed her Aunt Emily. So did Satu (the female witch) and Benjamin, the "son" Matthew sired years and years before.

An enjoyable time...
The story line is good, as is the acting. If you like the Twilight series, this one is similar. It also has a touch of the Game of Thrones air about it (people pushing for control or power). I'd recommend it...
