Demko Knives AD 20.5 Shark Lock AUS10A AD20.5 Grivory Handle (Orange Scale/Black DLC/Clip Point)

This is my first venture into high-end knives. Like many, I was apprehensive to purchase something this expensive in AUS10A, but in-use it's great. Whatever magic heat treatment Cold Steel does is perfect - the edge holds for a long time, and comes back up quickly with stopping.The lockout action is smooth as butter. The rear lock on mine was a little sharp, and did need a few passes with an emery board. Now it's perfect.If you are at a point in your life where you can buy one knife for life, or just want to add a Demko knife to your collection at an insanely low price, this is it. What a time to be alive.

I have the grey version and bought it because the girlfriendhad difficulty closing my traditional (backlock, frame lock, liner lock) knives. She can easily close this style lock, and even started flipping it open and closed, and Loves it. However, for my large Man hands, this knife's thinner profile and slightly different handle design did not feel comfortable in my hands, and the flipping action wasn't for me. The knife is an excellent quality, and I would buy one for me if a larger handle with the same blade length (3.0 Illinois legal or smaller 2.5 chicago legal blade length) is eventually made by the Demko company. By it for the lady of the house, choose differently for the Man.

Very fidgety and well made folder but $170 for Aus10? This makes it very difficult to pull the trigger.
