Pocket sized and highly responsive
I did a lot of comparison shopping against other geiger counters on Amazon and was concerned by some of the reviews on other products that none of them would be of much use, but this little guy is surprisingly fast and responsive. I can't speak to the accuracy or calibration, but it responds instantly, unlike the 30 seconds or more I've seen on reviews for other units. It's the size of a sharpy, and the display lights up making it easy to read. I'm using if for a cat who's received radio active iodine, and this is working like a charm to monitor her levels.

So far so Good
Giving reasonable readings compared to other meters. Wish manual had more detail (like what's the lock icon signify?). All in all seems well built and functional so far.

Easy to use, sensitive, perfect for wearing around the lab.
sometimes I worry that I might forget to turn off my X-ray source when I am mucking around the lab. My sources (20 to 60kV tungsten target and no filter, just a beryllium window) don't come with a built-in audible alarm. This is the perfect solution. I can wear one and leave another on the bench and the one on the bench alarms when the tube is on. It is also good for quick checks for scattered x-rays or shielding leaks. Just some additional peace of mind.

Not very accurate
***UPDATE***Upon seeing the below review, their customer service reached out to me for a replacement/refund. They were great to work with, so I'm updating the review to 3 stars.Pros:Easy to use for basic scansSmall and lightweightUSB-C charging portCons:Long delay in scanning (several seconds)Not very accurateMy big complaint with this device is that it isn't very accurate. I held mine to my smoke-detector, and the device read 0.1 usv/hr (normal) then jumped to 0.44 usv/hr, then back to 0.1 usv/hr. Even just standing still in an enclosed space, it will fluctuate from 0.09 to 0.19 with no reason. The manual says it is accurate within 25%, but I'm not getting results even close to that. It also takes more than 10 seconds sometimes to get a measurable result. I held my device to Uranium glass for a full 30 seconds, and it wasn't until I turned away that the meter spiked up to 0.55 before dropping back down immediately. I recommend spending a few bucks more for another model.

Functions as expected!
Works like I thought it would just a little slower to respond (40-60 sec.) but not problematic for what I am using it for.

Not accurate.
Right out of the box I received a reading of 3.5 mill SV/h. No matter what I did the reading stayed in this range. No amount of shielding or distance of device would change this reading much. Unless a radiation source is hidden within this pen, that cannot be accurate. Is it possible it was not calibrated right. It is the gas tube defective. As far as I know no radiation source should be located within the pen. Anyone have any ideas.

Threshold cannot be changed
You have no control on the threshold setting or mute function. Only a toy not something you want to ware for some serious work.
