3 Pairs Of Ladies Merino Wool Socks, Outdoor Walking Work Boot Socks, UK 4-8

I feel the cold and always look for a mention of merino wool in descriptions. These socks looked like they would be just what I was looking for and I ordered them. I am happy to say that they exceeded both my requirements and my expectation. The product information stated they were "35% wool" and referred to a Tog rating of 2.4, backed up with a diagram explaining how "Pro Heat" worked by storing heat to be released to the foot as needed. I suspected this might not be accurate, and was impressed when the sock remained warm for some time after I took it off. Not sure how this worked, but it did seem to live up to the claim. The socks are thick and soft, in rich colours and beautifully finished, and so much more comfortable than many so-called "hiking" socks. I am ordering another set of 3 pairs.

I live on a farm and it's lambing season; I spend all day outside in wellies so need decent socks. These are just brilliant! They are longer than regular ladies ankle socks and are SO warm as they are natural wool. They are lovely and soft, padded on the sole and have a turnover cuff. Most importantly they do not bunch down under your feet in your boots. I am ordering some more! Remember they really need to be washed by hand or on a machine washable wool cycle and DO NOT tumble dry. They are 100% merino & lambswool.

I read reviews about receiving different colours to those shown and my experience was no different. I don’t mind though, they’re only going inside my walking boots. I got two pairs the same colour (maroon and purple) and one pair cream and blue.I agree with other comments about the size. I’m a 4 and they’re a little bit bigger.They’re lovely and warm though. Also thicker than a normal sock. I’ve worn mine today on a short walk and they’re very comfortable.

I'm a size 5 and these fit great, so easy to put on and lovely colours. Longer than normal socks so even cosier, in fact so good, I've reordered. Love them !

I was going to return these as having tried only one sock found it baggy & loose fitting for my size 5/6 feet., but the customer has to pay for return so I decided to keep them.For the positive - they are soft and warm whilst wearing footwear.Negative - because they are so baggy and loose I have to take them off if I’m not wearing footwear otherwise they slide around.I’m going to try to shrink them in the wash!

These are lovely and thick, just right for my trip to Iceland

The socks are lovely colours, fit well initially and very warm. However, after washing them a few times they get very bobbly and not as good a fit.

Fab socks . Keep feet warm and soft.
