Pleasantly surprised
So I got this for my 10 year old son as he wanted to try fishing. I ordered this as for the money if he gets bored I’ve only lost £20.The kit turned up and obviously the tackle is very cheap, but the rod and reel were actually not as bad as I expected. I admit I did get some better tackle (soft shot, cheap crystal waggles, better line and smaller hooks) and taken it out a few times now and my son got about 10 roach, Rudd and perch on our last 3 hour trip.So this kit has served its purpose, the boy loves fishing now and has even got me back into fishing after a 30 year break. I love how compact it all is, the kit that comes with it is very cheap but you could technically use it and get fish but if you can spend an extra tenner to get better kit it makes it much more useable and now the boy can cast a decent distance and tangles are fewer with the upgraded line.Overall, a good purchase and great value for money!

Nice little kit for a beginner
Bought for grandson's birthday. He loved it plenty of equipment and a nice little information book.Only downside was the reel kept getting tangled which was quite frustrating for him but I think this could be due to lack of experience when casting and reeling in. All in all a good product.

Not well made.
Only used this twice and already showing signs of wear, the eyes are loose, used by a 7 Yr old as a starter rod, already looking for an alternative.

Excellent kit for beginners
Im a female aged 53 yrs young who loves to go fishing n my 4.5 yr old grandson wanted to come too!lol So I thought this looked like a bargain, when u consider all u get - everything u need (apart from bait) to go fishing straight away.Came really quickly too! Best £19 I’ve spent in ages! We’ve set it up ready n he’s really excited to go fishing later in the week 😉Excellent value for money n to see if your kids like fishing - so you’ve not got to spend out a fortune to begin a wiv.Love itOnly fault I can find is that it could do wiv instructions on how to set up the rod/reel - I know, so wasn’t a problem BUT if you have no fishing experience then you’d have to YouTube how to set up b4 leaving the house - especially as in some remote areas there’s no phone signal, or many people about to ask, which could result in one upset child.Worth bearing in mind if you are a beginner 😉

Worth the money!!!
I bought this as a quick easy (joke) rod to set up for when I go carp fishing at my local, my usual rods are 12ft 3.25 test curve so it’s a bit heavy duty and a lot of effort to set everything up for the carp I get in this fishery (about 8lb-19lb)The reel has a very quick drag, which makes it hard to set when you got a good fish on the line but it’s still works well, the rod is good quality giving me a good fight with the fish and making then fun to catch**Quick delivery**

Good value for money - But buy your own floats
Used this rod for two days of fishing. For what I’ve paid I think I got my money’s worth. Had a few issues with the line but I felt this was more due to the way it had been wound onto the spool, not necessarily due to poor quality. For me the hooks were too big, (was only fishing for tiddlers) but you can pick up smaller hooks for pence. The floats were also pointless, flimsy and the holes in them hadn’t been punched through properly during production. But again you can pick up floats for cheap so I won’t hold them against the kit.All in all a good value for money kit for just a couple days of fishing.

Pleasantly surprised
For the price and the fact it's for beginners, I can't argue with anything about this product, it arrived early well packaged, and with everything as promised, and despite a few reservations it actually appears to be pretty good equipment, would sure buy again.
