Great tone, although require more effort than Rico reeds
These reeds look to be of a better quality than the Rico 2.5's I recently bought. I noticed that the tone was richer and sounded better with the Van Doren reeds compared to the Rico's, but require a bit more effort to produce a note. I will continue with the Van Dorens.

but I'm quite happy with these ones
I haven't tried other brands or types of reeds, but I'm quite happy with these ones, they're not hard to play if you're a beginner and the sound is good, they last me about 2-3 months (playing 2-3 hours per week).
