nice to have canned hummus if you can't get to the store for snacks

The product was packed in a sealed tin can similar to long term storage package. That was a good idea except for the fact that it would be helpful if there was a plastic lid to allow for storage in a refrigerator for usage over a period of time. And maybe a bit more vegetable oil added to the recipe to thin out the paste. Otherwise, for first time purchase, I admit that the hummus does taste good and I like the price.

I do my best to always find something good and everything I buy this particular product I can’t find anything. It was gloomy and chunky and there was nothing I could do to make it better. It tasted sour and I’m sorry to report if anybody asked me I would say never ever ever buy it. It was one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted in my life. I tried to fix it, and there was no fixing this.

Of the many canned hummus I have tried, this is one of the best. It tastes good right out of the can, and after I added my usual addition of lemon juice and olive oil It was quite good, comparable to my favorite canned hummus, Sultan Brand from Jordan, which is not available at this time. Baraka is using good quality ingredients, including good tahini. The texture is good, and it has a nice aroma.I dinged them one star because of an issue with the first can I ordered. The can of that first order was badly dented, and as the packing box it came in was undamaged, I can only conclude that the can was dented before it was packaged, and a dented can was packed by whoever packed it. If I had not had that problem with the first can I ordered, I would have given the product 5 stars. I am willing to order again, as the can of this second order was undamaged.

Cans arrived dented and taste was off.
