Great lock, check out the back
I installed this on a Mastercraft sliding patio door from Menard’s and am really happy with the quality. The lock is a nice feature to have on the door because kids can easily learn how to unlock the handleset, but this is out of reach (and bonus: it looks dang classy)The lever flips from top to bottom, so it’s flush in both positions. I didn’t see reviews detailing how this worked so I thought it was worth noting. I also added a picture of the back of the unit so you can see how it’s made. From the product photos, it almost looks like a solid block - it’s not, but it’s very sturdy and I’ll be buying more for other doors in the house. The most time consuming part was mortising the door, but I took my time with a chisel and a dremel tool and it worked out great.

Works great! Needed longer screws.
Installed these on a door and they work great. Very well make latch but I had to use longer screws to mount the upper and lower doo stops but that was not a fault of the part just the application. Recommended!

easy to install
Nice product. Better than the ones that came on the door unit. The locking lever is built like the ones on the commercial doors instead of the type that slide up and down they have the lever to open and close them

Works well and am happy with the purchase!
I bought these for a shed door that I needed to pin at the top and bottom so the other could lock into it and keep it secure. On other sheds I have seen a variety of methods but after having something similar to this in our house on some interior doors, I had to use them. Visual confirmation they are locked into place and engagement is long--- so with a gap at the bottom I still get really good engagement.Overall works well and all that I did do was use longer screws because of my 2x4 and panel constructed doors. Not the products fault by any means, just my configuration that required it.

We have very humid weather and I have to replace things like this often
I have these on my double front doors in Panama. We have very humid weather and I have to replace things like this often. We use these on the second door that isn't used daily and is basically just for looks unless we need to bring in larger furniture. To open, you would release the levers on the side of the door. There is one on top and the other is on the bottom of the door. The one at the bottom goes into the floor (a hole is drilled) In my case, they're just to keep the one door shut at all times.hint: for even better security, I would replace the screws with longer ones. Most locks come with small screws but the longer ones would make breaking in harder at least coming unhinged wise. No lock is 100% a sure thing if someone really wants to get inside.
