Replacement CD Player Phone Mount Base Car Phone Holder Part, 17.2mm Ball Joint CD Slot for Phone Mount Holder, Magnetic Mount Accessories [Base Only]

I had to install the bracket with the wing not upside, instead of concealed on the underside. But, it's OK because the wing nut is hidden behind my phone when I'm using it. Otherwise it works as expected. If you have loose or additional panels added (like burlewood or whatever aftermarket additions you may have added) you may issues with control buttons sticking. For example, when I tap the a/c button up, that specific button, just below the bracket (where the tension is highest) usually gets stuck depressed. I have to push above the button on the panel to loose the up button back to normal. But it's not overly problematic. If you loosen the bracket until it stops happening it might be OK. But you'll run the risk of the bracket being too loose and dislodged.Other than that, it works well.

I purchased a CD slot car magnet holder for my phone several months ago. While the magnet works great and is extremely strong, the slot holder was a piece of junk. it slid back and forth in the slot and I was constantly pulling it out because of the strength of the magnet. No matter how tightly I set it it was always slipping out and then the rubber padding stripped off and after that it was essentially useless. I was looking for a new holder when I came across this replacement part. The reviews were positive and the size was definitely bigger. So I went ahead and bought this one to try as I could remove the magnet from the other one and put it on this one. The magnet fit and it fits great into my CD slot! It wide enough to fill the slot so it doesn't slide around at all and because of its bigger size the tabs fit into the slot deeper giving it a much better sturdier grip. My phone sags a little when I have it set on it but that's because my phone is on the heavier side and so is the magnet itself. I'm very happy with this purchase and would purchase more as replacements when needed.

I have an older model car that still have a CD drive in it. When I received a Carpuride display that was the best place to put it. The original CD slot mount I purchased from vendor broke within 6 months. I purchased this one and immediately noticed it was made out of sturdier plastic.Very little vibration to the device. So far so good!

This thing is a lot more robust than I expected. Works great with a fairly large after-market CarPlay add-on display; very stable.

ALthough advertised to work with my brand of car monitor, it did not fit as apparentky one also needs an additional adapter.

We had a phone brace attachment from another mount that fit perfectly on this CD mount, so we're happy that we could resuse something we already have.It's very sturdy when inside the CD slot, and it's holding the phone really well, even when turned om landscape mode.Simple. Sturfy. Good quality. What more can we say?
