Almay is my go to for water proof mascara. The brush is going to take a little while being different on the tip. Even slept in it one night and no black smudges on my eye area. Highly recommend this product.

I don't know what to think about this different applicator brush. I get the same results as the regular brush. It will take some practice to see if I can use it correctly.

I developed dry eye due to extensive use of my eyes for detail work and computer screen viewing. It seems to be a condition that is becoming more common.Make up I had previously worn now irritates my eyes to the point that I am unable to wear it. I have searched for a Mascara that does not irritate my eyes and does not flake or run. Almay Is the fourth and least expensive mascara I have tried, claiming to be both waterproof and hypoallergenic and It is the only one that does not irritate my eyes.I was not too pleased with the reshaped mascara wand at first, but have adapted to it, and find it is not the problem I thought it would be.If you have dry eye, I recommend you try this mascara. Almay, waterproof mascara remover works with this mascara.Be warned about the shape of the wand, but I recommend you try to work with it. This mascara is worth it.

I normally love Almay waterproof mascaras and have used them for years but when my normal one was unavailable, I tried Almay’s one-coat mega volume, waterproof mascara and disliked it. The applicator was oddly shaped, wider at the tip, which made it really hard to apply without making a mess around my eyes. Additionally, the mascara was super goopy and I ended up with my lashes all clumped together. I absolutely could not use it without spending the next two or three minutes separating all my lashes with a little brush. I swear, I looked like a five-year-old, trying out mom‘s mascara for the first time - NOT the look I was going for. I think this mascara would benefit tremendously from a normal-width brush and a narrower end of the tube, to knock off a little more of the mascara as it comes out. Until this is remedied, I won’t be buying it again.

I usually love Almay products, but, this mascara I did not like at all and unable to use. It does not go on well, clumps and does not feather lashes, more like globs of mascara. It is extremely difficult to remove and irritated my eyes with redness all around lower and upper lashes. Not sure what is in it, but, not a good job on this product Almay. Not user friendly and a waste of money. Bring back the extreme length waterproof mascara, no beeswax in it and goes on nicely, easy to remove.

A bit of history: I have used Almay mascara exclusively for more than 15 years. My eyes are very sensitive, and my eyelids itch & swell up with other products. My seasonal allergies also make me tear up so frequently that if I don't wear water-proof mascara, I look like a raccoon.I originally became an Almay One-Coat Waterproof Mascara "convert" and was happy until a couple of years ago when the formula changed. The 'new improved' product was overly thick and gloppy and dried up in the container before it ran out - so I was not a happy camper! I had negative reactions to other brands, though, so I was stuck with either using something I didn't like, or nothing at all.Then Almay Mega Volume came out and I was THRILLED! The formula is smooth and goes on effortlessly with NO CLUMPS! It lasts all day and even through swimming! I LOVE THIS STUFF!The megaphone shaped applicator wand is a little weird, but not hard to get used to - so don't let that scare you.The only down side to be aware of is that it takes a bit of intentional effort to remove. I use baby oil and a wash cloth, and it takes some gentle rubbing to take it all off. But, unlike some mascaras I used in the past - no eyelashes come out with it (seriously!) so it's all good!Complete disclosure: IT STAINS! I don't know it it's the combination of baby-oil and mascara that stains, or if it would stain with other removers, too - but it definitely does NOT all wash out. I have my own set of cheap-o wash cloths that I take with me when I travel so that I don't ruin my family member's wash cloths. For me, it's a very small inconvenience and well worth having lashes that look long and dark - when mine are naturally stubby and pale!

The product works great but I do not like that brush with the wide end. Think I'll try to trim it down a bit! I will be careful the next time I need to order mascara to look at the brush closer!!!
