It does add heat to smaller areas

Haven’t used it yet but this product came used with heat discoloration and soot. That said, it was in otherwise good condition.

It doesn't line up great on the alcohol stove I bought it for. I have to move it around till I can get it to stay in place but it heats up the space a little so it's okay.

Stay away from it ,it's junk it does not do as described stay far far away don't waste your money they also label it as hazardous so you can't get your money back when you find out how much you've been scammed you would be better off just lighting your stove and letting it burn on low if you was to try to use this inside of a tent you would burn yourself because it's going to melt your floor and catch everything on fire stay away!

I have made simple versions of this type of radiating heater with cans before. This one is a bit more elaborate than those "hobo heaters" and works well.It really does heat up and will glow red. With the lid on it, the heat radiates outward from the sides more. Remove that, and you can put a put or canteen cup on top and boil water for coffee, tea, noodles, etc.It's a simple thing, but works nicely.

I was super excited to get this because I intended to use it at a softball game to keep me slightly warm in pop up pod. I would have had a safe place to set it on but I didn’t realize it does not come with the adapter. You do have to buy it separately. So sadly I never got to use it and it’s been sitting in my basement with my camping gear. It is super cute though.

Bad news first: it holds the heat down and will make your stove very hot. Doesn’t “radiate” the heat as well as people make it out to. Always worries me having this glowing hot object that can fall off my stove.Good news: I do like the design of this one over the “bullet shaker” style. It has held up to moderate/light use so far. I bring it along with my peak 1 stove ice fishing as a back up to my buddy heater if ice camping.Conclusion: I only use this on the ice. That way if it tips or falls over it’s not too much of a fire/ burn hazard. I use it only for a back up, temporary heater since I have a stove already with me. Although I wonder if just running the stove alone is just as good.
